"I had camped at the Desert Horse Inn campground on a visit to Namibia in 2005. It was an enjoyable experience. Passing through again in 2024, I was curious to see what the villas were like. "The Lodge is situated on the edge of the canyon with spectacular views. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a nice big shower, however, the shower head fixture had been fixed with a finger plaster and was shooting water out in all directions. The food is ok, not great, and I would have expected a higher quality at a lodge in this price range."

"Die Lage der Canyon Lodge ist traumhaft, das Essen hervorragend , die Zimmer urig, das Bad ist etwas klein, aber die Dusche ist groß. Die Guides sind hervorragend . Der Swimmingpool ist zwar etwas weiter weg vom Gesamtkomplex , dafür mitten im Nirgendwo, was auch sehr reizvoll sein kann."

"Die Berglandschaft ist sehr schön. Die Zelte überhitzen sich in der Sonne sehr stark. Die Terassenüberdachung ist sehr kurz. Man findet keinen Schatten. Ein Kühlschrank oder eine Minibar ist nicht vorhanden. Die Außenplätze des Restaurants haben ebenfalls keinen Schatten. Die Möglichkeiten der Aktivitäten beschränken sich auf einen Sunrise Drive oder einen Sundowner. Der vorhandene Pool ist sehr stark gechlort. Ein mehrtägiger Aufenthalt empfiehlt sich nicht."

"Both my fiancé and I love adventures and we have no problem with living under local conditions and circumstances such as in the Kgalagadi like showering with salt water, being some days without WiFi and any other connection to the outside world, etc. But what !Xaus offers is simply a rip-off!
