This is a very good hotel. It is an old hotel but very well maintained. The breakfast is excellent. The restaurant has a limited menu but everything I tried was of a good quality. The immediate vicinity is not very interesting - but grab taxi is easy to obtain and it is not far to any part of central Jogya. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are very helpful. They are very polite. I have been very happy with my entire stay at the hotel - other hotels could take a lesson from this hotel in how to provide good service.

Great hotel, with helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is situated in central Jogja and is convenient for many local attractions. Excellent sized room with with all essentials provided. The hotel breakfast was very tasty with a nice range of options

This hotel represents Yogya in General, not only The Bfast was scrumptious, but also the staff were very friendly and professional. Can't wait to be back to Yogyakarta

They had a great rain fall shower. Free Wifi Free breakfest. Had a nice pool didnt use it my self but looked great. My wife is from Indonesia so was able to get a discount. If your traveling through this area make sure you stay here

Staff very polite and helpful. Within walking distance to night market and tourist street. Contains all necessary facilities. However, I booked for a king bed but instead was given two twin beds pushed together.

Bad experience with Hotel SPA. The service was very bad. The staff are talking to each other and laugh so loud. Even when we told them the aircon was freezing cold they told us to dry the mask or scrub faster. They nvr think the customer point of view. How can the Spa did not make any preparation in advance such as towel for customer to take shower in the spa. They even told the customer to take their shower at their room due to out of towel when they finish their massage. If they inform the customer in advance we would not take the package not to waste our money. We come to hotel spa for relaxing but end up the service was bad. Will not recommend to my friends.

Great location hotel but the cigarette smell was a
This hotel was our favorite hotel but now it has gone down. It smelled cigarette smoke in the hall way and in our non smoking rooms. I asked them to clean or room but the cigarette smell didn't go away instead they sprayed perfume. The AC was not cold. Breakfast selection was good. We don't think we will come back.

Good facilities and excellent customer service.
As a solo traveller the free room upgrade was an unexpected and welcome bonus. Staff were helpful with tour suggestions and booking to visit Borobudur and Prambanan which were breathtaking. Nominal charge for personal airpot shuttle service to/from the airport.

Nice hotel at convenient location
The hotel located in Main Street. Can go everywhere easily. The staff are very friendly helpful and polite. The room is big and comfortable. Breakfast is great with lots of choices and tastes good. Overall the hotel is worth with the price. Sure will stay again if go to Yogyakarta.

Good place to retreat after a long day out
Staffs were always approachable and helpful. Spa / Massage service was good and professional. Room absolutely comfy and hotel situated near eating place and shopping area.

Good hotel, needs improvement
Friendly staff and willing to help always when requested. Reception lady was amazing and friendly. Never fail to wave goodbye answer hello to me every time she sees me. The security guard at the front door was really polite and helpful. However during the check in on the first day, my room was missing all tea and coffee packaging. Plus small face towels were missing form the room too. Room wasn’t very clean either.Tap was leaking in the bathroom and was very noisy. Other than that the room is spacious and comfortable . The blankets were thin and were a bit older. Need upgrade. The hallway can be a bit noisy at night when people come walk in and out. If you are a gym junkie or plans to use the gym during your stay, the gym is very very tiny and have very limited equipment . It is difficult to locate the gym as it is in a small unknown area. Breakfast was good. A lot of choices!

Classy hotel close to Malioboro
I stayed here 3 nights during my visit to Jogja. The hotel has a classy ambiance and comfortable rooms. The service is great and breakfast is probably the best in town on account of their massive array of traditional Javanese food.

Very pleasant experience in a part of the world entirely new to me. The hotel, staff and services were all excellent. Furthermore Jogyakarta is a fascinating area deserving of a second visit--and I already know a great hotel.

Exceptional bargain
The hotel was truly exceptional and the hotel restaurant for both breakfast and the 1 dinner I had was very good. Like much of this area the location was surrounded by areas that were not so nice, but still reasonably walkable to a number of tourist sites and shopping.

Beautiful interior design which truly represent javanese culture. At that time, my room was upgraded to higher class...it was big room with balcony and big bathroom (unfortunately no bathup). Like the jasmine smell outside the room. The hotel staff were also friendly.

Fantastic little place for our discovery at Jogjakarta. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was good Only thing was that some staff had limited English and we found communication at times to take a bit longer but they were very patient and willing to help

Arranged pick up from airport- flawless. Luxury room, amazing pool view, good service, boxed breakfast when leaving early. Staff a bit inconsistent about booking taxi back to airport. I wanted to just book the transport again, one person told me to just take a taxi from the front. Then in the morning, taxi was a bit late, so then they said to take transport which I wanted to do in the first place, by then the Taxi arrived so I got in. However, the taxi driver didn't speak English and didn't have change. So it was the same exact cost as the hotel shuttle which is about eight US dollars anyways. So don't take a taxi just go with the English-speaking car from the hotel ;)

Professional and friendly staff. Amazing selections of breakfast buffet. Good location. They even helped me open the padlock of my luggage when I accidently locked the key in (the luggage). Will definitely stay with them again. It is highly recommended.

Exceptional service
Stayed 3 nights at the Santika, Well located close to most of the points of interest and shopping areas. The hotel has a decent restaurant and serves a good breakfast. The customer service is to a high standard. Arranged a 12 hour trip to Prambanan and Boruboudor through the hotel (private car and driver)which was good value for around £35 be aware this does not include the entrance fee to the sites which was an extra £30 per person (well worth the money) Special mention for Eti (hope this is the correct spelling) who helped us with our rail tickets, not only did she collected them from the station for us after her shift but also ensure they were waiting for us when we checked out at 7.00 am all in her own time, that's going the extra mile and one of the reasons we would definitely use this hotel again when in Yojagkarta

Perfect location, great service, great breakfast.
We love Santika. We have been staying here from time to time whenever we come to Yogyakarta. The room is big. Swimming pool is great. Location is perfect close to Malioboro. Breakfast is really good with variety of Indonesian and Western food.

Room 315 was designed for twin bed but instead they put the king size bed in such an odd position. They said deluxe rooms don't face the garden, but the gave an expat college the deluxe room facing one. Is there service inequality for locals and foreigners?

Good little stay. Friendly staff who provided a fruit selection upon arrival and allowed us a free later check out. Breakfast had a mixture of Western and traditional Indonesian fare. Good location for exploring the backpackers' district (Gangs I and II). Bit of a walk to the city centre, but manageable. Madam Tan is a local restaurant which is a stone's throw away; decent Indonesian cuisine!

Overall fine; check-in staff friendly if rather slow and inefficient. Bedding was not clean on arrival; and the curtains were pretty disgusting too; I asked the check-in staff to change both, while we went out, and they promptly did so. Would stay again, but it would not be my first choice.

Good sized clean rooms, comfortable king bed, with good all-around service. Rooms at the front of the hotel can be a bit noisy as it is adjacent to one of Yogya's busiest roads.
