We have stayed in a lot of hotels in the area but the lakes hotel is by far the best, the hotel was amazing and the staff were brilliant from the moment we arrived. We will be back!

Lovely staff, the receptionist gave us a free room upgrade to a hot tub room! The pool and spa were immaculate and modern! We had an amazing meal at the Mizumi restaurant! Nothing less than 5 star here, would recommend to anyone!

Booked a one night stay for my partners birthday mid April. We both really enjoyed ourselves and we’re welcomed with a complimentary drink. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean and classy. Our standard room was still pretty roomy and homely. Robes and slippers provided in your room which I lived in. Bed was comfy. Our highlights were the lovely cocktail bar and terrace, the Asian restaurant and the lake Windermere walks/ scenes, restaurants and amenities nearby in very walkable distance. Although we definitely felt relaxed after the spa and found it useful being able to use it before check in time, it was basically a quite a small dark hot room with the pools, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, cold plunge pool all packed in the small space. The spa amenities were quite good but just very small and compact so I wouldn’t like to be there when it’s busy as there was already a lack of seating areas when we went and there weren’t many people there. Would definitely come back for the hotel again but not too sure I would come back just for the spa, but this may be personal preference as I prefer a big airy spa with views of the Lake District, with plenty of different seating areas. Thanks Lakes hotel and spa for overall a really lovely stay! ☺️

We had a lovely time here - staff were all friendly and accommodating for what was a very special weekend for us. The spa facilities were exactly what we were looking for and we loved having the hot tub on our balcony. Our suite was fantastic and dinners at both the Lakeside Terrace and Mizumi restaurants exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back!

The property was lovely and the staff helpful. My only issue is that when they serviced the room in the morning they did not adjust cushions on sofa and did not change or clean the mugs and glasses!

Staff very friendly and polite really good stay If I had to pick something it would be that to get to the spa pool you had to walk across car park and then through the pub eating area in your swim wear and robe but other than that would stay again

3rd stay at the hotel. Staff were excellent as always and the food in the cocktail bar was lovely (Tapas) Our only grumble was the shower. We stayed in room 350 which is a cosy double, the room itself is plenty big enough but the bathroom is on the small size. The over bath shower had very little water pressure. Would this stop us coming back? Absolutely not! The place is a real treat.

Spa and pool facilities where fantastic. Room was comfy but one downside of our room, our shower pressure was mediocre, which could of been stronger. The other thing we didn't like was the food from the restaurant I think was a bit basic. Overall other than those little things it was fantastic

Exceeded all expectations!! The impression the staff gave immediately came across from the gate to check in was high standard. The breakfast catered for all and was also a high standard. Facilities, exactly what was advertised. Great having a jacuzzi on the balcony! The bars are great and staff very professional. They had various areas to sit which were all different. We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks.

The hotel is amazing, everyone is walking round in robes and if is so relaxing, there’s candles lit on every corner, it does not feel like a normal hotel where there are long corridors and unhomely. The spa is open till 10:30 at night and there’s a bar inside, we booked the hot tub room but because of the spa being open till so late it wasn’t necessary to have the hot tub in our room. You can really tell it is a 5 star hotel, best one I’ve stayed in yet.

We had the most amazing stay here where we were giving a complimentary upgrade for my husband's 30th birthday. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was outstanding. Would love to go back again soon.

You know what it was nice. I was under the impression all rooms had hot tubs not the case. Staff was nice its a really nice hotel but the room we had was really noisy from room above. Overall bit gutted but nevertheless it was nice just noisy from room above

Great food, excellent staff but disappointing
We had stayed at this hotel before its re-brand several times and were keen to return. We were given a free upgrade on arrival to a superior room, which on the surface was a beautiful big room with a fabulous view. However, there was large stains on the bed base and we had no hot water in the shower or sink in the evening or the morning. We used the spa and had to wait for access as it was very busy. The jacuzzi was cold and the water was filthy. We dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent along with the staff who couldn't be more helpful. The negative was the music. We were sat directly under a speaker and the music was club like. We had come for a romantic break and the music was very inappropriate for a restaurant and it spoiled our dining experience. The staff tried to change the music but were unable to due to it being a set playlist. We ate our meal and left before desert as it wasn't pleasant to listen to. The staff were absolutely delightful throughout the hotel, and the food was excellent. In all honesty the rest was disappointing and would put us off returning. Based on other hotel stays I would not class this hotel as 5 star. It lacks the finesse and elegance it once had and that's a shame. Additional charge for parking was also disappointing.
