"We loved our stay here. It was a great stopping point after doing Karoo National Park. It was clean and a piece of paradise. There were giraffes, impalas, countless birds and large tortoises throughout the property. You could walk anywhere on site and we felt very safe. We stayed in Chalet 2 and it had great beds, WiFi, AC in the room, hot shower and a stove top. We enjoyed this place and will be back! "

"Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice...

"This is a very beautiful hotel and has amazing safari grounds. Rooms are beautiful, clean and inviting. Overall very expensive for what you get and has a lot of hidden fees on arrival. It is a shame that things such as breakfast or activities are not included or discounted with the significant cost of a room per night. We paid approximately AU$1500 per night and only received the hotel room. Even arrival drinks come at a cost. The experiences such as the safari tour and horse riding were...

The place is very quiet with farm animals and horses, located few miles from Mossel Bay but gives a feeling of country side. The surroundings are close to a wild area in which you can observe Giraffs if you are lucky. Great for a couple and very suitable for families with children. Good value for money."

"This was our second time staying at Simbavati and though it certainly didn't disappoint, it also didn't surprise. The lodges are very cute and tidy but are short of a TV. The food in the restaurant is good but not excellent. The spa treatments were disappointing, especially for the price. Cederberg is for hiking/biking, more to do at the lodge would be appreciated, otherwise it's not the highest value for money. " My stay was fantastic but I was shocked by the breakfast waiters, they wiped my cup rim clean with a finger in front of me, some rubbed their faces and noses, some hocked back phlegm in a rude way, what a pity they seemed to be completely untrained in basic waiter hygiene, otherwise all great"
