“Great stay”
Nice.
“Soi”
Don't be deceived by the outside image of this hotel. The rooms are actually nice and clean. The staff members are all very kind, helpful and are able to speak English. It's a good 10 minute walk from Nishi-oi station but you get to see the surrounding residential areas and the local people which is very nice. The subway station Nakanobu is 5 minutes away which is very convenient for getting to Asakusa to see Sensoji Temple, one of the hot sight-seeing places, as well as Ueno Park. There's a market nearby with lots of nice local restaurants. Why this is only a 2.5 star hotel I don't know? The rooms were very nice and so was the bathroom. This hotel is an excellent place to stay and excellent value!
“great service and great hotel cant wait to go back”
the hotel is a bit small when compared to U.S. hotels. the services provided far out way the small room. i recommend the breakfast at the hotel specially if you need a quick meal before venturing out. the location of the hotel to the Nakanobu station is great if you don't mind a small walk. my wife and I decided to explore the surrounding areas before heading into the tokyo hot spots. the explorations paid out because we found some nice outlets, great food areas and a nice way to spend time. lastly if your trying to avoid spending on japanese food the 7 eleven and am/ pm provide great quick bites. be warned though that the rooms do not have microwaves. the staff does there best to help you out but don't expect full english speakers like in the states. we got great conversations and interactions with no fuss or frustration. great spot to have a tokyo vacation.
“Nice business hotel”
clean, reasonable, very satisfactory business hotel. Close to Asakusa line, we liked this very much and would recommend to others!
“I love the hotel, but needed a closer one.”
The hotel is nice, but I don't like how it's located in Nishi-oi where the one train station is confusing to navigate. I prefer next time to be on the Yamanote line where all the major cities in Tokyo are. It was a nice clean hotel though! I liked watching TV on their flat screen, and the internet was extremely fast! The only issue I had was the location.
“Perfect Tokyo hotel for the price as long as you just need a place to rest”
The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms, while fairly small (which is to be expected in Tokyo), were extremely clean and had plenty of room for one person (or even two) if all you wanted was a place to lay your head at night. For the price, it was fantastic. And since the hotel was only a five minute walk from the Tokyo Metro line, the location was perfect for anyone looking to travel around Tokyo, but stay at an extremely affordable hotel.
“"We would use this hotel again and recommend to others."”
It was my first visit to Japan. I found Chinsun Hotel Shinagawa-West through expedia.com at great discount rates. Our room in the hotel, was a little small, but it had everything we needed, including a mini refrigerator, a tea set, a TV set, compementary free internet. There is a self-service laundry in the hotel at least expensive rate when it is out side of the hotel. The rooms are clean and stuff is helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is very convenient, it's about in 5 minutes on foot from Nakanobu Station Exit A. Also, there is a convenient store Lawson that is located next to the hotel, where you can find some unexpensive meals or snacks for about $ 1.05 for most of the products in the store. Around Nakanobu Station there is a very good market place where you can find more variety of good food and it's a good place for shopping. From Nakanoby Station you can go anywhere in Tokyo.
“Pleasant little chisun”
Really clean and just what me and my girlfriend needed a hotel out of busy tokyo but near enough and with a subway link just next door pretty much. Great hotel if you plan on being out all day and night and just need somewhere clean and comfortable and affordable to sleep, relax and wash. BRILLIANT
“Still the Best”
I stayed in this hotel in 2010 and was very satisfied. I am glad to know that consistency is part of the hotels standards. The staff is very helpful and always available. Even though I am not fluent in Japanese the staff was able to communicate concerns and provide directions without any issues. This is not a hotel for anyone expecting Vegas style settings. My wife and I used the hotel as a base to change, sleep, shower and eat. We are about 5'5'' and were move around freely stretch and relax between explorations. The breakfast provided by the hotel is reasonable and filling. Both in 2010 and 2012 we spent around $20 for the breakfast buffet which being Los Angeles residents found very affordable everyday. Keep in mind that a local restaurant can charge $25 to $30 for two meals not including tip. The nearest railway is the Asakusa line which is a bit far from Narita airport so be prepared for a long train ride the getting to and from the airport. There is a 7 Bank (7-11) with an ATM between Asakusa station and the hotel which is very convenient for supplies or quick bites. The hotel is also across a police substation if further assistance is needed. Overall a great second experience to Tokyo.
“so many towels”
I really enjoyed my stay there the staff were friendly and although their english was not perfect there was one who spoke nearly perfect English which was a plus to my stay! The morning breakfast was nice and lots to eat for the non-fussy people (but for me it was curry and rice). The free wired internet in the rooms was very fast but sometimes dropped out for a while. they gave you fresh towels and a bath robe every day to the point where I had stacks of towels and now have some kind of towel phobia because of all the towels.... so many towels.... Would 100% recommend this hotel but tall people beware I hit my elbows on the bathroom ceiling... Anyone staying here please take note that the best station to go to is magome which is 5 minutes left as you exit the hotel and just keep walking till you get to it... you will need it
