Stylish hotel, lovely rooms, delicious and high quality breakfast items, freshly baked cookies in the evening, and perfect location in the heart of town. However, the best was really the employees who were so friendly, helpful, accommodating. The host Sabrina is such a gem! And the breakfast team were incredible! Thank you!!

I must say: I have never stayed at a hotel with a more friendly staff. THey we re SO great, pleasant, friendly, and happy to help and give us suggestions. Sabrina, Paula, Cara, Justin, James, Carol... I can't thank you enough for everything. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to shops, and restaurants.

This is a nice hotel with ample parking in downtown St. Helena. Very friendly and helpful staff. Don't look for great scenice vistas, our room looked into a narrow outdoor corridor across from another room. But who needs a view after a day of wine tasting?

Thank you for the review William. Glad the wine helped you look past the lack of scenic views from certain rooms. We are looking to re-design those rooms by removing the corridor to expand the rooms and create an enhanced outdoor view.
The location is excellent for walking St. Helena, shopping, and dining. Parking in St. Helena can be difficult and fortunately the hotel has a covered parking lot on the back side of the property.
We have stayed in more luxurious hotels but the Wydown was perfect for a Napa Valley trip.

Our group of 7 enjoyed a wonderful week at Wydown Hotel. The is a small hotel with an incredible vibe and the feeling that you’re staying with special friends. All of the staff were so personable and went the extra mile to accommodate every wish. The breakfast offering were delicious with quiche, bakery muffins, English muffins, yogurts, granola, etc. Warm chocolate chip cookies were provided as an after dinner treat. We loved the location and walked to many great local restaurants. We were just a short drive from some of Napa’s best wineries. We are already planning our next trip and will most definitely book the Wydown Hotel when we return.

Great 12 room hotel right in town. Large room. Well equipped. There’s a breakfast available daily, too. Breads, yogurts, quiche, fruit.
Parking is in a large lot behind the hotel.

Hi Cristie,The amenities fee includes: Passes to the Health Spa Napa Valley, beverages in mini fridge, covered parking, and fiber high speed internet access.
My husband and I stayed for a birthday weekend. Our room was very comfy and clean, the staff was very friendly and breakfast was amazing! Great location too. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel has a beautiful lobby with an artistic vibe. Very classy and the breakfast was a nice bonus. For us, the initial contact with the hotel was great and they texted us to let us know the room was ready.
Upon check-in things went south. Instead of putting a hold on my credit card, it was charged for the full two days. The clerk argued with me that she had not run the card at all. We had planned to split the payment on check out with another card. It took me pulling up the transaction from the card for her to apologize. It impacted the rest of our vacation.
It was 105 degrees the day we checked in. They said the AC would be on. We got to the room at it was 90 degrees.
It is a historic hotel and the rooms are small and the bathroom very cramped. Bathroom floor had not been cleaned well and there was gritty dirt on the floor. If you have a room with a view, prepare for it to be noisy. Overall, disappointed that such a pricy hotel would provide such a unfortunate experience.

This is a lovely place to stay. The General Manager who greeted us on our first day was very informative and a pleasure to meet. Take his suggestion and try the coffee and English muffins offered at the continental breakfast. Overall location is great and the condition of the property is very nice.

Large rooms, friendly & helpful staff, delicious breakfast. Location is perfect for exploring St. Helena and easy drive to Calistoga.

Excellent experience! We walked every night to the restaurants. Lots of cute shops all over.The rooms are fabulous. Very quiet. Awesome breakfast in the morning from Model Bakery! Staff are great!! Free parking.
