Beautiful location
Beautiful town. Lovely breakfast overlooking sea view. Nice and quiet bedroom, room was a bit small and bathroom wasn't the best i.e. weak shower. Friendly staff. Great atomosphere in the pub below.

Hidden Gem
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble. we were able to have our 2 x small dogs with us at all times which we have never experienced before. The bed and breakfast was excellent, also the meals within the hotel were also of a very high standard. For the 1st time ever - we never left the hotel at all apart from dog walks. We generally just use hotels as bases - this hotel we never left because we had no need to do so. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Interesting change
My family had been very excited about our mini break however unfortunately the hotel has found its niche in dog friendly rough edges. On the surface all seems great but for a family the meal offerings are limited in terms of when and what you may have. Luckily other venues in the village serve food all day and are not overrun with dogs full of the joys from their beach experience. Breakfast was first class however and an annex room assisted in our feeling of ever increasing them and us attitude. Both attempts at staff integration were met with eye rolling behind our backs and no solution for food from between lunch and a rather late 6pm.

Characterful, with lovely staff and local beer
The pub is in a wonderful location, has its own microbrewery attached, and is perfect for a cosy winter get-away. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff so obliging, knowledgeable and helpful. Whilst the rooms and décor are a bit tired, it all goes with the nature of a building which is a few hundred years old now. Whilst we were there the seasonal bistro was closed, but the local theatre company used the room for a production, which meant we had built in entertainment. The play was sold out but they very kindly squeezed us in, which they didn't have to do, and the quality of the acting was really very, very good. The food in the pub was excellent, and good value, especially an offer they had on. In particular I had one fish dish which was the best I'd had in a long time. We'd definitely go again.

Great location right on the Coast path. Historic building with a very homely feel - cosy restaurant serving the most amazing boulabaise! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

To many steps if you aren't Farley fit
No lift to our floor only as far as the reception area accessed via beer cellar on ground floor. in total it was sixty two steps to get to floor three where we were staying my wife was unable to make it more than once a day . It is unlikely we would stay there again my wife couldn't climb them more than once a day

Great location close to beach and fantastic cliff
Ideal location for our 3 night stay as a couple to explore St Agnes and Chapel Porth on foot and surrounding area by car. Very friendly helpful staff and exceptional food in restaurant. Great breakfast and enjoyed the local ambiance in the pub. Our room was quite small but clean and comfortable bed with a lovely view of the sea. If you are used to modern hotels and want to spend time relaxing in a large room then this is not perhaps the best choice of stay, but it worked well for us, particularly as we were out and about during the day. Safe parking was a bonus. Reasonable value for money given other options available in July.

Beach-side comfort in good pub lodging
Lovely stay as before. The rooms are small but comfortable. It can't warrant a huge makeover but it is one of the better picks in St Agnes. The beach access and pub makes it, really. Oh, and the Haddock for breakfast - absolutely delicious. Lovely service as well.

Good find
Business trip so no time to fully enjoy what it has to offer. Seafood restaurant and breakfast is well presented and delicious. Will be back for leisure next time.

Great hotel, close to beach!
I was expecting a much smaller room, so I was really happy when we were taken to our room. It had s double bed and bunk beds for the children. There was a good sized bathroom, a sofa, two cupboards and a dresser. There was also a tv, tea and coffee making facilities (with biscuits) and the all important wifi - all the more important as the area is a mobile signal dead-zone. our room was away from the main hotel, and as such, was quieter (and on ground level). The staff were very friendly. The pub is lovely and has great food and a big selection of spirits, wine and beer. The locally made ale went down well. The breakfast selection was great, full English at smoked salmon to French toast to boiled eggs - or the normal continental selections. The hotel's proximity to the beach cannot be beaten. Overall, a wonderful stay at a very good hotel.
