They have 2 queen bed dome but there is no door or curtain for washrom area which was really inconvinient if 4 adults sharing dome. Also door opens on washroom side so it will be an issue if someone changing in that area. If there is curtain or door for washroom, it will solve both the problems.

It was a really cool experience to stay in the dome but I definitely did not find the place to be luxurious like it was advertised to be. It was a very bare minimum dome. There were only one towel per person, no towel to stand on after showering so that the floor didn’t get soaked. The bed was not comfy at all very hard and only one pillow per person. There were no dishes except two mugs in the dome, nothing to cook with outside and being at the top of the Cabot trail there was not much in the way of getting food either. There isn’t even a fridge to keep the food cold that we did take, thank god they sold ice to keep it cold. Also the owners have a dog but don’t follow their own rule of keeping dogs on leash. Their dog was intimidating our dog a few times when we were trying to take him out to use the washroom so we felt we couldn’t even have our dog outside with us when we had a fire one night.

The property was awesome with views of the lake. Kayak and canoes are free to use also. The owners are amazing and very helpful about things to do in the area.

Great "glamping" experience. This was a great location for exploring Cape Breton Island with easy access to the Cabot Trail. The owners are great, quick with help for any concerns.

The stay was very comfortable, Owner very attentive. Since we stayed there for 2 nights, we had the opportunity to kayak for free. When it started to rain a little, the owner gave us a canopy to hide from the rain when we had lunch or dinner. The holiday was wonderful

Overall loved our stay. Had thought we would have view of water but only 2 domes did. Overall area could be picked up a bit. And the cabin we stayed in might need fans provided for future hot (global warming) days. The host was delightful.

This place is beautiful. If you are not in to full-on camping, this place is for you. Bring some plates, utensils, small cooler with a few supplies and you should be good to go. The owner was incredibly friendly, making us feel so welcome. He told us about some hidden gems like a beach and a trail in the area. The domes look beautiful at night. Serene area, no motor boats, we had the whole bay to ourselves. The water was great for swimming. Kids loved jumping off the dock. Our package included the kayaks and canoes, which was a huge plus.

Cabot trail
Great stay ! Domes were really nice and good location for doing the Cabot trail . A little pricey but overall really good . It is warm in the domes but cools off nicely at night . Couldn’t get hot water in the shower but that is okay . Would be nice to soap in the bathroom for guests as we didn’t bring our own so we went and bought some . Owner was helpful and nice.

I really wanted to go camping but we work until late and it hard to set up a tent in the dark. There were a few glamping options but the pictures of this property caught our eye and pictures really don’t do it justice. The best sleep I’ve had in years! We caught some speckled from a local fishing hole then bbq on the charcoal grill in front of a camp fire. Totally amazing weekend. The owners Stephane and Shanshan are doing a great job and I look forward to seeing them again!!

My husband and i stayed here in September and were extremely unimpressed. The owner was very friendly but the dome was very uncomfortable, the bed was very hard, tiny space heater, but the worst was it smelled like chemicals or maybe the concrete? It wasnt a cleaner smell like an industrial smell. There were many other places in cape breton i would chose instead if we could do it all over again.

It was fun because it was so unique. Sleeping in a dome. Now I can say I did it. But, it was way overpriced. It was cold, damp, and smelled weird. They did give us an extra heater when we asked for one which helped a little, but it was still too cold to shower. It’s primitive, not as bad as sleeping in a tent, but close. It’s a great idea, but still needs a lot of improvement. Definitely was not worth the price we paid.

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback. I am happy to hear that you had an unique experience. It's the end of camping season which can be cold and damp at times. We are sorry if you felt cold. We believe that having two heaters in a dome is good enough because we haven't got any bad feedback about our domes being a bit cold until this one. We can only act upon receiving reviews like yours. For the dampness, we have a dehumidifier in all of our domes, maybe yours wasn't set properly.

Wonderful time at the Resort. Sat around a campfire with the camp owner Stefan and attracted 3 other couples. Shared music, jokes and firewood. Memorable time. Lovely place.

We were surprised at how many domes there were and how close they were to one another. It was expensive for what you got - ie had to rent boats on top of the nightly rate. We also had a harbour view dome which wasn’t really the case - there were signs of water through the trees but I would be leery to call it a harbour view. The male owner was very friendly and amenable - his female partner didn’t come across as being overly inviting.

The site is not what I expected . The roads were terrible and there was no grass but dirt . The domes were very hot during the day . Price was double what it should be .

We are a new Glamping resort as in glamorous camping. We offer clean comfortable beds and full three pieces bathroom in all of our domes in a campground setting. There's many levels of glamping and we believe that we are in the upper echelon. it is our first year of operation and we do need to improve some of the landscape but you're still staying at a campground. People that stayed in the same tent have been very happy with their stay. I guess that people have different levels of expectations too. We price our night accordingly, we are very competitive with what is available in the area. We are sorry if you didn't enjoy your stay at the Bayou

The domes and tipis are a really cool idea, and I’m sure with time and completion of the construction on the property things will be better. We arrived early evening, and there was no clear check in space - the office was still under construction. Our dome was advertised as having a Harbor view, which it did not. They are rather close together as well. Our picnic table and fire pit were directly behind another unit, so we spoke in whispers all evening. The beds are comfortable, but the 100% polyester sheets and blankets were disappointing. Concrete floors and no floor coverings(rugs or mats) meant tracking dirt in no matter how hard you tried to keep it clean. Water seeps from the shower into the kitchen cubby, as the floor isn’t sloped quite right. The owners are nice, and I hope they get things dialed in soon, I know they’ve done a lot of work. But 180 plus tax for polyester sheets isn’t going to do it for many. And paying for firewood is kind of ridiculous at that rate as well.

Thank you for your feedback. Since today all our construction has been done, include our office--the red little house near the waterfront. Glamping idea is new to us too, we are here to provide a camping environment while you have your own shower and flush toilet. We are here to listen to your feedbacks which help us to improve our service. We will gradually add more and more room accessories. Thanks for your voice and we will try our best to meet our guests needs. We need to hire people to cut trees and split the wood into small pieces, then our workers need to organize them, It was a lot of work involved. We charge $5 per bucket and filled it up full to the top then Stephane got them delivered to your dome. The price is pretty fair, it is only cover the cost of labour, thanks for your understanding.

Very beautiful environment, the tent was unique like igloo, all the tents are located by a lake and you can do Kayaking, watch beautiful sunset, very quiet area, we could have a camp fire, glamping but you have your own bathroom andower. All of my family members had a great time and memory, I hope the quality of their job and service be as good as the time we were there.

On s’attendait à un hôtel selon votre description mais ce sonts des bulles sur un site de camping. Complètement inattendu mais très propre avec les commodités voulues: douche eau chaude, toilette avec chasse d’eau et 2 lits. Nous avons très bien dormi sous les étoiles. Difficile de trouver l’office, soit cabane en bois…….

Super bel endroit situé stratégiquement au Nord de la Cabot trail. Tentes dômes très spacieuses et propres. Le propriétaire Stéphane est vraiment sympathique et très disponible pour les clients. Et il parle français! Donc pour les unilingues francophones qui ont de la difficulté en anglais, ne vous privez pas de visiter ce merveilleux coin de pays.

Il y a deux types d'établissements: des tipis et des dômes. Nous avons dormi une nuit en tipi et une nuit en dôme. Le tipi n'a pas été un succès en raison du manque de confort. Les toilettes sont également très loin. Par contre, le dôme est très confortable avec douche et salle de bain. On peut louer des planches, canots et kayaks. Le propriétaire est également très sympathique.
