Great hotel in a great location! excellent use of security at the elevators to screen guests from crashers

While it is not superb, within its hotel class it rates an overall 5. Staff at desk and concierge were very helpful. Location is fantastic: close to a row of good restaurants, breakfast shops, museums, and McGill.

If the price go cheaper, it will worth rate at all 5

I have stayed at many hotels with Expedia, probably 50 to 75. This was the first hotel that didn't treat me as a second class citizen and was appreciative I booked through Expedia. Further, not only did they upgrade our room as the website said, they also got us reservations at a restaurant that was booked and had amazing reviews when I was unsuccessful. This was a top 5 Expedia experience.

Everyone we met at the hotel was extremely polite and willing to.help.us with.anything that we needed during our stay. the staff was fantastic as was the entire experience.

We picked the Delta Royal Canadian because the Banff Springs was full, and we were looking for a luxurious honeymoon suite to spend our twenty-fifth anniversary. As such, we did not expect the pricetag to be low -- and it wasn't -- but we did expect comfort and good service, and it was. The pillows on the comfortable king-size bed were too hard (but soft ones might have been available: we didn't bother to ask), and on the day that we slept in *very* late and then went to lunch the room was still unserviced when we got back from lunch, but we were going out again anyway and it was all made up when we returned in the evening. The in-room fireplace was lovely; the soft ambient lighting was beautiful, the sitting-area nicely furnished, the lobby furniture very attractive even in the basement elevator lobby, the doorman extremely helpful and courteous from the moment we arrived to the moment we left..
