"The main lodge and cabins were stylish, designed and well maintained. The jungle setting on a beach was enchanting. The beach was lovely but the swimming was rough given we were there in the off season. The Sri Lankan food was delicious and the staff were friendly and accomodating."

"This is the best hotel in Trincomalee. The staff are the loveliest, kindest staff, and they made our time there feel like home. The food is a choice of traditional Sri Lankan food as well as European/US, but they even made us egg hoppers on request.... Its that we're not on the menu. So I cannot praise them highly enough. We will return here. "

"Very close to jump off point for Pigeon Island. Budget room was very clean but very hot despite the fan. No ventilation and windows didn’t open. Check in and checkout were really slow. "Way too dirty. Rooms old and smelly. I rented a junior suite for over 600$ for 2 nights and i didnt stay 4 hours. I had to check out to go to a more descent place. Staff and management terrible. Food awful. Do not even come close to book there... its the worst experience ever..."

"Terrible experience. Terrible customer care. The hotel was shut and they refused to refund me. We (my wife and my 4 year old child) arrived at the location and the gate was shut. The nice lady who was at the hotel (we were unable to speak to her in the local language) did not let us through the gate then called someone who told me that the hotel was under refurbishment hence shut. He actually suggested us to book an hotel nearby. I called the German number associated with the hotel and another...

"We arrived and they didn’t have our booking despite proof on my Hotels.com app. They then said check in was at 14:00 whereas my booking showed 12:00. It took them until 13:30 and several looks at the app to finally show us to our room. The room was dirty and the beach in front of the hotel wasn’t great. We moved 500 metres down the beach where it was much nicer. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Cold food and coffee followed 10 mins after we had finished. We won’t be returning."
