This was a great place to stay in Schroon Lake, NY for the ecplise. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some rooms are remote and take stairs to access. The food at the Brown Swan was very good. All and all a great time.

Property was beautifully presented and great location. Everything was simple, but clean and lodge themed making it feel inviting and warm. A basic complimentary breakfast would be a nice addition as well as a microwave in the rooms. Only issue for me was that it snowed heavily, and it seemed like they plowed the property multiple times throughout the night under our window. This made it hard to sleep soundly, but I would definitely consider returning.

This property was amazing! My family and i enjoyed our stay at this wonderful, beautiful quiet place! The rooms were spacious and we even had a great view fron the back of the property! The staff were awesome and very helpful, will definitely visit again when its warmer!

Great family place
We love the lodge. Has a lot of places to relax. My kids enjoyed resting area next to the fireplace, where they played some boards game and I could just relax and drink my tea/wine. Only thing is that there are not enough lounge chairs by the pool. Each time we went to the pool, we had to wait for someone to leave to be able to get a one.

Lots of cute lodging at the property- walls are thin in the adjoining units so if you want quiet get a cabin. Perfect family vacation for skiing at Gore or anytime as they have many activities and even shuttles and day trips!

Beautiful Lodge and grounds. Nice room and friendly staff. I was their with my daughter skiing at Gore Mountain and visiting Lake Placid. A great location for a luxury base. Luv the pool and game room.

The restaurant was amazing, its not far off the Northway (87) and very close to a Stewarts. The place is Beautiful.

Renovations are amazing
Just stayed at the Lodge at Schroon Lake for a quick snowboard trip at Gore Mtn. Everything about this place is pristine and really well finished. Amazing design in rooms and common areas, heated pool, sauna, 24hr gym, and truly exceptional staff. Brian, a manager, was one of the best and most helpful employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I got this place at steal for a midweek stay but man is it worth so much more. Don’t hesitate.

When you stay in the main lodge, you do have to park in an area that wasn't very great. That's my only complaint though, this place literally felt like a Hallmark movie when you walked in!! Dressed to the nines for the holidays. The food at the brown swan was amazing! Definitely a great place to spend New Years. We'll absolutely be coming back!!

The property is beautiful, but I didn't like entering the hotel from the back of the property. It was dark, slippery, stairs wooden, it seemed like we were entering the main level, which I would think is the first floor, but our room was 225. A bit confusing. But the check in desk let us park in front so we entered the main lobby.

The bed (king) was very comfortable and I loved the the long pillows; lots to choose from. The TV is also a smart TV.

Perfect in every way. Property was clean, staff was friendly and accommodating, lovely holiday decor. Plenty of parking near our unit. Though we stayed what might be considered off-season, it never felt like it. Bonus bon fires each night with all the fixings for s'mores! Would definitely recommend.

Rates do not match whats on hotel.com website. Beware, hotel likes to add service fees and “taxes”! It’s a renovated school where Living Word summer camp was held. Walls are paper thin and our neighbor called to tell us our TV was too loud as their dog was barking next door😂 this is how you learn but this was very very expensive stay for what we got $438.00 for two nights!!! Never again.

Won’t book through Expedia. They have rooms designated for Expedia guests, terrible room location next to the door that was slamming all night long. The parking, I had to carry two bags up four flights of stairs. I really wanted to love this one

Two complaints. 1. The Brown Swan's prices are too high for the quality and the amount of the food provided. The service at the Brown Swan was abysmal regarding the wait time, the knowledge of the menu, and basic service etiquette. 2. The hot tub was not working and the response I was given was "unfortunately our hot tub will not be working. We haven't opened it since we opened the hotel". If this is not going to be an amenity, do not show a picture of it in the photos.

Perfect lodge
Excellent lodge that offers a wide scale of stay accommodations for any price range. The food at their restaurant was amazing, very nice staff, beautiful views, and comfortable.
