"A cheap budget aparthotel right in the commercial centre. It is basic, but clean. Its location does mean there are a few beggars and homeless right outside. It is what it is a cheap but clean and reasonably comfortable place to stay. "

"The place is not bad at all, it had everything we wanted for our stay with a baby but the heat in the room is unbearable and although there was one ventilator we gave it to the baby and we suffered and didn't sleep at all from the extreme heat. "

"No hot water for bathing and no hot water kettle. There is a simple coffee maker so remember to bring your coffee powder and paper filters. Otherwise appartement is completely furnished. Attention, we didn’t have hot water to bath in the evening so remember to verify with the reception before you enter appartement. "The room appeared clean, however there was a smell of damp in the bathroom which spread into the other rooms. The furniture was quite tatty and really didn't fit the apartment. It just looked quite unloved and like it needed a redecoration. I also found it very difficult to wash dishes as the water wasn't hot enough and in the end had to put them through the dishwasher in order to get them clean. This isn't ideal. "Very nice, modern spa hotel with good sized rooms that are well equipped like a mini apartment, with kettle, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, dishwasher. It is reasonably priced for what you get and being a resident gives a discount for using the thermal spa facilities. I particularly enjoyed the hammam."

A good overnight stop on the road

"A good overnight stop, with great staff, clean and comfortable room and a good breakfast. The room was a little tired in places, but everything was clean and working so no complaints from me on that front. Plenty of parking."

Very nice hotel. Absolutely terrific restaurant.

"The Novotel in Clermont-Ferrand was conveniently just off the autoroute. Good protected parking and very efficient check-in. (And they are DOG FRIENDLY). Rooms are what you expect, although our room was way too warm and even we couldn't regulate the temperature satisfactorily. Not sure what was going on, but the thermostat was not responding. The best part: The food offerings at the Novotel are excellent. A very good bar menu of bistro fare, including Croque Monsieurs. But the restaurant itself is terrific. Way beyond anything you would imagine at a Novotel. We will stay there again just for the restaurant!"
