Good location, short walking distance to Notre-Dame Cathedral and Fairmont Hotel Frontenac. Friendly staff. Many eateries nearby. Our room #07, was clean, roomy, and quiet facing the back of the hotel. The bathtub is separate from the sink and toilet. The hotel should consider replacing the bathtub curtain with a better material as the existing fabric omits a moldy smell. No elevator. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

There are significant pros and cons to this review: On the pro side: The hotel is in a location that can’t be beat, unique rooms, very clean and comfortable. On the con side: We had to park almost a mile away (0.8 miles). The nearby parking lot was full and also couldn’t handle a larger vehicle. The front desk is almost never staffed. They gave us a phone number to call if we needed anything, but there was no answer at this number! Housekeeping did not service our room, which was fine, though we needed more towels, and again, no one could be found. I’d stay here again, but would first look elsewhere just to see what else is available.

The property and location could not have been better. The facilities and staff could improve. The TV was nightmare to operate. The hookup was antique and no one could really figure it out, not even the hotel staff. Wires everywhere and a remote control older then the 1st gen. Flat screen. Nobody never did figure it out. The A/C was the same story. All this was overcome by the location. After all, we didn’t come to Quebec City to watch TV, a/c would have been appreciated at night.
