Rude staff. COCKROACHES in our room. Several bed bug bites. This resort was an awful experience. My family and I have traveled to many places over the world—this is by far the worst of the worst. I am in shock at how dirty it is and the lack of accountability when it comes to cleaning the rooms. Bed bugs are awful and now I have to deal with them in the comfort of my own home. I will never come here again, not even for free. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this place.

Our resort has a stringent fumigation program in place, managed by an external, professional company. They conduct regular, thorough inspections of all rooms and public areas to prevent pest-related incidents. It is important to note that our recent reports have shown no evidence of bed bugs in our rooms. In the Dominican Republic, especially along the coast, there are sand flies that can cause skin reactions in guests with sensitive skin, which may sometimes be mistaken for bed bug bites.Regarding the presence of cockroaches, we understand how distressing this can be. Despite our best efforts to mitigate their impact, the tropical climate and environment can unfortunately be conducive to their presence. We continue to strive for the highest standards of cleanliness and pest control to ensure our guests' comfort.We are very sorry to hear about your interactions with our staff. This does not reflect the high level of service we aim to provide, and we will be reviewing your comments with our team to ensure all guests are treated with the utmost respect and hospitality.We value every guest's experience and are committed to improving our services based on your feedback. The resort was beautiful, the steak house wasn't good to me, but the other restaurants were good. The room needs to be updated, especially the closets. My room smelled out and I kept spraying my hair fresher. Hate that my balcony faced a wall but still wasn’t bad. Just need the rooms to smell better

The staffs at this hotel are racist!! The hotel staff have been reported to engage in unauthorized entry into guest rooms, resulting in the theft of personal belongings and currency. Moreover, there have been instances of fabricated accusations and extortion, leading to unwarranted arrests when guests inquire about such incidents, often exacerbated by language barriers. It is recommended to consider alternative accommodations for an enjoyable stay in the Dominican Republic. El personal del hotel ha sido reportado por realizar ingresos no autorizados a las habitaciones de los huéspedes, lo que resulta en el robo de pertenencias personales y dinero. Además, ha habido casos de acusaciones falsas y extorsión, lo que lleva a arrestos injustificados cuando los huéspedes investigan dichos incidentes, a menudo exacerbados por barreras lingüísticas. Se recomienda considerar alojamientos alternativos para disfrutar de una estancia agradable en la República Dominicana.

Let me start by saying this was probably one of the worst “all inclusive” I have been to recently. 1) this is a 2 tier resort, either you are a “regular Guest” or you are a “premium” guest and trust me they make you feel the difference so you can upgrade and buy a vacation package for 20k USD, yes 20 Thousand. 2) our “regular room” had AC malfunction, when we arrived the smell más awful a mix of sewer and humidity. The mini bar was completely empty, I mean nothing at all! What is worst is that it took staff 2 days to fill it! We literally had to beg for them to stack water, the maid had to go out of her way on our second day to get us a semi full mini bar. 2) some Not all workers were just rude. If you didn’t have a “premium” bracelet you were a second class citizen. 3) Food was average at best nothing to wow about. You have to make reservations at some restaurant and if you were not a premium member, guest what? You had to wait til they finished eating. At the sport bar we ordered some wings just to be told by the waiter that the wings were for “premium” members only. The white shirts are salespeople with commission based system where they offer you “premium” status for a cool 19,500 dollars. That’s the entire goal here. Get people to buy a yearly vacation package worth thousands. The night activities were good, probably the best part was the fire show, besides that Michael Jackson show and the piano bar were also good. We made our complaints in person,no one cared.

Very enjoyable stay. Service and entertainment were excellent. If you wanted to relax you could do that or there were always activities going on. Food at the buffet was good, the pasta bar was always excellent. Lots of variety. Very easy to get around with the trolly consistently going. They have an amazing coffee shop we went to every morning. We ate at the Mexican restaurant and it was very good, the route 66 restaurant did not have good service and food was very mid. Perfect trip for my four girlfriends and I.

This is the first Ocean hotel in the Caribbean so it is very outdated. The lobby is an open concept with ZERO fans or ac. Most restaurants and areas also offered ZERO fans or ac. You sit in the steak house in 80 degree weather trying to enjoy your meal. It’s the Caribbean to have no fans or ac in 80-90 degree weather is insane. My room was also kept at 78 degrees and you cannot control the temperature from the room. I have never been sweatier and hotter in my life. If you enjoy sitting in 90 degree weather then this is the place for you. The staff and beach were nice. Miguel was amazing. He was helpful and very knowledgeable. The food was good and the massage at the spa was amazing. Really the resort in itself would be great if they invested in fans or air conditioners.

First off I paid for a certain room and didn’t get it I had to complain then they gave me what I paid for. Then they had these cart that take you to your building on the property and we came across the privilege cart and they told us that they can’t pick us up. Now we go to dinner at the steak restaurant and they took a hour to bring us water then the employee came asking us what we ordered before we even got the food trying to make us pay then after another hour the food comes and my sister food was cold and steak was not cooked all the way. Then we saw a roach crawling on the table and we showed the worker and he killed it then they tried to make us pay for the food still. This place was very unprofessional and rude .

Just back from Ocean Blue and Sand resort. Overall it was a great place, food was outstanding and the staff all very friendly no matter where you went. Stay away from the casino, its a scam to get you in. Only downside, is they only had Presidente beer on site, you could buy bottle beer as in budweiser but when my husband bought a bucket(6 beers) they had only 3 budweiser and 3 corona. Just a suggestion, it would be a good idea to have some ceiling fans in lobby and showtime area as it can get very hot. There was lots of entertainment for all ages and all day long so lots to do.

Beds werent as comfortable as i would prefer , room didnt look like photo , the hotel was still beautiful food was good . I was almost forced to buy things on the property from pushy sellers can be very annoying on a day to day basis . I was offered a free surf and turf dinner but when i reached out no one answered to reserve for me through whats app . So i didnt get that which would have been nice because i was celebrating my sons birthday . Arrived at 12pm and wasnt able to get into room until 3 even with me attempting to pay more for early check in . Staff was good rooms consistently cleaned needs more attraction for the children being that its a family resort , stay was decent would not come back . Ive been to multiple ocean resorts in other countries so i thought this would be the same .

The staff at this property really just get it. We got the privilege package. Our first room had a few issues, but the Butler chief Franklin made sure to have that rectified and even upgraded our room. He was absolutely wonderful throughout. Our whole entire trip was all of the privilege pool staff honestly everybody was amazing. I will definitely be returning to this resort in the future

I love everything about this place. The only issue I had was when they have the disco night or the beach party or the music night in the lobby- you just don’t assume everybody speak and understand Spanish by ONLY PLAYING SPANISH MUSIC ALL DAY EVERYDAY! Mix it up with different genre of music PLEASE- like country music, RnB and Hip hop, Afrobeat, e.t.c…. Those nights were boring for me sitting there and can’t mix.

This was such a great experience for my boyfriend’s birthday. Ezequiel went above and beyond with the room decorations and setting up dinner reservations for us. Such an amazing time! If I had anything that I would change it would be the sales staff for the excursions. After we say we are not interested and will let them know, it became overwhelming when we run into someone leaving the hotel building or buffet or trying to enter the pool. Other than that, staff was amazing and made us feel loved and wanted. Great feeling to have especially on days you celebrate something special.
