Good location with lots of places to visit nearby, grocery store across the street, decent value
Old building so no elevator, noisy street at night, a basic stay
Casa Bella was within a two minute walk to the metro stop and near the art museum, ballet, and several restaurants! There is parking onsite and street parking if you bring your car. Everything was so close we just walked and used the metro! Our room was very clean and had been renovated. The room was a little warm but we opened the windows and it was perfect! Staff is very nice.
Pros:
The hotel is not new but it is clean.
The room was spacious.
The beds were decently comfortable and the bedding was clean.
The appliances all worked fine.
The staff was polite and useful.
Good blackout curtains
Cons:
No air conditioner (although I don't think it was advertised that the room had it)
There were no outlets next to the beds to charge our cellphones and no alarm clock either. It wasn't a big deal and it probably depends on the room.
Parking is not very convenient. The hotel does have a few spots but the cars that park after you will block you from leaving. If you do park there, you need to leave your car keys at the front desk so the staff can move your car if someone else needs to leave. So you can't really come and go at will if you park in the hotel parking.
Overall it's a good affordable hotel to stay in, especially if you don't plan on driving around.
This property had a disgusting bed that was dirty with dirt What Might Have Been bugs I torn up yucky mattress cover. And they seem to think that is okay and I didn't even stay I walked out and they won't refund my money as of right now. If I do not get a refund I will sue them
Fire trap! Doors automatically LOCK SHUT when a fire alarm happens. Fire extingsuishers were EMPTY. Hotel was very dirty and smelly. Electrical sockets did not work and manager refused to fix them, instead saying I should bend the metal prongs on my electrical plugs out of shape (that's bad!).
Such a cute little shanty hotel at such a reasonable price. No frills, but very comfortable and convenient. The family who owned it was so sweet and helpful !
Property is old and run down, it smelt very musty, I’m glad I brought allergy pills. That being said, the price was good for just needing a bed to sleep in. Staff were lovely.
The bed was worn out and uncomfortable. TV only got 1 different channel. 3 channels, all the same, a French news station. They claim there are 6 parking spots, but back lot is 2 wide, 3 deep. Hardly better for more than 2 cars. We just parked on thd street at the neaby corner for free. I guess you get what you pay for. Thankfully we chose to go with the private bathroom option.
We checked in the hotel and it was too terrible to stay. We immediately checked out and booked another hotel. This is not a 2-star! It's absolutely not worth $120 for a night either. Horrible experience.
The building's old with a narrow and steep staircase that only healthy folks should use. The floor needed sweeping. We had a fridge and TV but no coffee or other food/drink items. The owners were very helpful and nice.

We booked an inexpensive room that was fine for the price. Room was on the third floor so a few stairs but for us with little luggage, not a problem. The gentleman that checked us in was helpful with where to park our car. Old place with worn carpets etc. but our room seemed updated. A short walk, like around the block and there were shops, restaurants and the Metro. Montreal's streets seemed dirty, and it was dirty right outside the hotel. Couple blocks and it was cleaner where people walked for stores and restaurants. Busy pedestrian area.
Not a quiet corner/street as medical sirens were a mainstay. But easy walk to many things. A couple more surfaces would enhance the modest room, as I ended up piling belongings on the small sofa and smaller night stand and tiny microwave - a rack of coat hooks came in handy.

Excellent affordable option! Free parking, great location, comfortable bed, shower, mini fridge, microwave, and a loveseat. Covered all the basics, everything we needed for a short trip!
My train was running late. I tried to reach them by phone at 11:00 pm to let them know of the delay but no one answers the phone. They advertise that someone is at the checkin desk till 11:30 pm
This hotel was in a perfect location and close to malls, restaurants and everything you would want to do. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Felt safe in this area. Beds were very comfortable.
The washroom did need to be renovated, it was old.
