"Clean and modern hotel that is a short walk from Nakatsugawa station. The staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast at the hotel had a decent selection and was delicious. The public bath was extremely clean and much appreciated after the walk between Magome and Tsumago. Not a complaint, but more of a comment is that the mattresses were very firm. "Very old property and looked tired. Curiously the lift did not go to the 2nd floor where our room was so the 80 year olds had to haul ourselves and luggage up and down a set of steep stairs. Also the bottom sheet of our bed was too small. Nowhere to hang anything. Was the worst hotel of our 4 weeks stay in Japan."
