We (myself, my wife and our son) stayed at Tuscany Suites and Casino for 6 nights and we enjoyed overall the place. The hotel is located off the strip but at a short distance (about .5 miles) from the Strip. It has a resort type format with multiple buildings spread around. We found the staff at the reception desk welcoming and helpful. The room was particularly large and included a good refrigerator. Moreover the hotel has an outside pool and a pretty good fitness center and a good café and d restaurant. The staff was very helpful in allowing us to move to a different room to avoid a smell of recently placed new carpets and also to approve a late check out. An incident that happened toward the end of our visit was very troubling. My wife left an envelope with money in her carry on that stayed all the time in our room. The envelope with the money disappeared, probably a day or two before our checking out, something that my wife was able to determine conclusively once we've got home. We lodged a complaint with the Security at the hotel and we reported the theft on line with the Las Vegas Police Department. Evidently it was unwise to leave the envelope in a carry on. But beyond the loss of money the idea that somebody entered our room and opened the carry on and searched the pockets and stole the envelope with the money is very upsetting. It would have been nice had the hotel management expressed its sympathy for the violation of our privacy.
