Property was ok for the price. Looks old and needs cleanliness and repairs. There was a lot of dust under the beds.

I'm sorry to say that the outside of the property was really smelly, with unemptied trash cans and a pool that was full of stagnant green water that may have contributed to the smell. We had reservations for 2 rooms, and the first room we got the key to, we backed out of immediately-- it appeared to be occupied, with an unmade bed, bathroom lights on and TV blaring. (According to the front desk person, the room just hadn't been cleaned, but he did move us to another room.) Both the rooms we occupied were clean inside but retained a lingering unpleasant smell which I don't blame on the cleaners. The rooms do not have phones, so in order to call the front desk you need your own phone... which caused a lot of confusion when we were checking on our reservations before arriving. Please be aware that the Red Roof Inn Lancaster is not the same as the Red Roof Inn Lancaster-Strasburg; this led to more confusion as it turned out that in trying to add another room to my reservation, I had originally reserved 1 room at each hotel. When I called the hotel to add someone to our reservation, it appeared that one of my reservations was lost. The Red Roof Inn Lancaster front desk attendant was helpful and able to make another room reservation for us there on short notice, which was nice, but having to explain to him that we weren't already checked in and in the hotel (in our incompatible accents) was difficult. I'm sure the staff is doing the best they can but this property needs attention

The pool closed, there was no warning on the site. It was the number one amenity I was looking for. The toilet in our room was broken and there was one (1) tissue left in the box. The house keeper knocked three different times to get in to clean ( left the room at 9:30am). There wasn’t a do not disturb sign to hang on the door.

This place is falling apart, smelled terrible. We’re pretty sure this place is a shelter. It was so noisy. Thank goodness we stayed one night, never again!
