The area is nice, the cabin is comfortable, spacious. Restroom could be better. The only negative is the area around the cabin, which is covered by the feces of the kangaroos. I accept this as a price to pay for the incredible experience of having those free animals around you.

property and area was nice but tried to charge us for having visitors in with us during the day and didn’t let us park our cars inside making us walk in the rain and carry all our stuff outside the caravan park all because my mate had to let his car in at the same time because he had all his gear in it and it was just easier than doing multiple trips. later when he tried to take his car back out of one of the ladies in the office got aggressive and rude with him not letting him take his car out and screaming at him in front of other residents and staff. later she told him that we aren’t aloud to park inside anymore and let him out.

Nice little area to stay in. Not really any restaurants open nearby though. Cabin/cottage that we stayed in had a complete kitchen so we were able to cook our meals. A small grocery store is nearby. Comfortable stay. Nice view of the coast. Kangaroos were many and present in the area which made the only negative of the place...that being, their poop everywhere. Had to really watch where you walked. Swimming pool looked nice, but it was too cool out to enjoy. Ladies in the reception area were lovely...very welcoming. We even went to extend our stay an extra day and they were quite accommodating.

The place itself is good, heaven for this love to be close to nature. One side is ocean and the other side the forest with lots of Kangaroos. The place has all the amenities to keep kids busy and parents be relaxed. We really enjoyed the stay.

The grounds were lovely, kangaroos and birds everwhere. A little coffee van on site on weekends, great place to holiday quiet but would be noisy on weekends .

Stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with ocean view. The villa was clean & comfortable with a large tv in lounge area & a small tv in one of the other bedrooms. Easy walk to the beach. On Saturday evening a fresh seafood van arrives for purchases at around 5.30pm. Coffee van was also on site on the weekend we stayed. Enjoyed seeing many kangaroo's in the evening & early morning. Wi fi was great however optus mobile network was non existent.

A (1) vehicle policy is understandable in busy times. But with enough space for (4) cars next to my cabin that policy seems to be lacking hospitality. BUT refusing to allow us to unpack our 2nd vehicle at the cabin and then move it is completely miserable. It forced 65year old people to be carting bags and belongings back and forth kilometres in the heat. Also the water supply smells like sewerage.

I especially liked all the kangaroos. They were almost tame and didn't mind if I was close to them. The pool also looked inviting but as it was raining I didn't try it out.

WARNING, do not use Wotif or similar (they are all owned by Expedia). The staff at Merry Beach were fabulous in fixing a booking problem caused by Wotif and they were able to save our holiday from being ruined and avoid excessive fees that Wotif tried to charge even though they caused the problem. Our cabin was lovely and featured modern, high quality fixtures and linens, even in a standard cabin. The park was very well kept and quiet, despite being full. Will definitely visit here again, but next time will book directly!
