Nice surprise
Looks rough on the outside but all redone inside. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very convenient to Badlands Park.

Charming, clean motel with a pool!
This exterior has 1950s motel charm and the rooms are not fancy but appear to be newly renovated. The wifi doesn't work too well (I couldn't download any podcasts with it), but the place has a pool, which is a huge asset in the summer. Megan (spelling?), one of their office folks, is *incredibly* helpful. She really went out of her way to accommodate our late, after-hours arrival. I'd give her a raise if I were managing that place. I only wish that the office had been open in the morning (Megan wasn't working then). I tried to stop in several times, but there was always a note on the door saying the staff would be back later. Location is very convenient for going to the Badlands, and there's a well-stocked convenience store and gas station right across the street. Overall, a great place to stop if you're visiting the national park or passing through.

air conditioner didn't work, plug ins not working,but does look like going thru remodeling- room was very rustic looking- loved it, just the little things. was 90-100degrees and air conditioner not staying on was a little let down

Comfortable stay near Badlands NP
The unit was roomy with all of the amenities I expected. The beds were quite comfortable. The rooms are somewhat rustic in appearance, completely wood-paneled. The only shortcoming was the abundance of flies in the room. The office was not open to notify anyone when I checked out at 8:00 a.m. the next morning.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! 1st off no one at the Motel to check us in. I was left a note and a key for the room. Sign on door said family emergency. That was understandable. Note stated our that our room was switched from the Sierra room to the Yankee room. Took the key proceeded to the room. Upon opening the door, two unmade beds with dirty linens in a pile on each bed. Room was a mess. Made our way to the Sierra room , maybe a mistake has been made. There was not another car at the motel... Sierra room door pushed open. Beds made, appeared to be cleaner than the other room. Upon further inspection. Bugs in the bed! Mattress was Moldy!! We got out of there. I left a note and the key for the owner. I had to find another hotel. I contacted Expedia, and my card was still charged $105.95! I now disputing it!! Almost ruined our cross country adventure!!

Disappointed
We booked and had to pay online. When we got to the hotel they did not have the room we paid for available. Their internet was down so they were not able to refund the difference in cost. I was assured it would be taken care of when their system was back up. They have not refunded me a week later.
