"Front desk personnel needs to learn how to smile. Not very well trained in displaying a welcoming, friendly approach to guests.
The breakfast area was not monitored or attended by hotel staff. At times, food was strewn across countertops for long periods of time, along with litter on the floor. It became disgusting to look at. Only when the front desk was notified did anyone enter the breakfast area to get things back in order. Also, several food items were running out and only when asked by guests to replenish did staff act upon this. Didn't seem as if anyone on staff was responsible for monitoring the breakfast area.
Otherwise, our stay was good. Hotel is conveniently located by an RTA train station, so it was easy getting to, and from, downtown Cleveland.
If I was assured the breakfast area would be kept clean and supplied, without prompting by guests, would I make reservations at this La Quinta again."
