Clean, recommend
The room is small but very clean. It is recommended for young people to stay. It is not recommended for the elderly because there is no elevator . The toilet door is recommended to be maintained regularly to avoid rot and mold.

Good budget place.
I booked my own private room and it serviced my needs. It was clean and respectable and a good budget option. The front desk associates were very helpful with all my needs including calling taxis when I needed them

Do this!
Nice place; greeted very quickly and friendly. Short distance from train station. Only issue I had was in getting the receptionist to understand in the morning that coffee can only sit so long before it needs a new pot to be brewed.

Wonderful hostel, with super friendly and super knowledgeable staff. Got a lot of tips about where to eat and how to move around. Super convenient location close to the train and bus station (literally 3 minutes walk), and a few good eateries. All the facilities we could have wanted were there, including a washing machine, dryer, fridge, and even card games and free coffee and tea and water. They also gave us our request for a quiet family room (for our family of 4) away from the stairs, with a beautiful view of the mountains too. The one and only drawback is the hostel doesn't have a lift, so bringing the big luggage bag up and down to and from the 4th floor during check-in and check-out was a bit cumbersome, but that's only twice over the whole stay. Overall, enjoyed staying there alot.

Average facilities, helpful staff
We stayed for one night in the triple room. Family with teen and young child so bunk bed was naturally a hit. Found an old contact lens in the bedding which got us questioning the cleanliness. We would also have preferred if guests have to leave their shoes at the main entrance and swop to indoor slippers when inside the hostel as that would have greatly helped maintain the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. Toilet and bath are dated and located in the same space with no partition/shower curtain - hence the whole floor gets wet when you shower - it would have been much improved by a shower screen/curtain. For those driving, roadside public parking is easily available on the street outside. Staff is friendly and helpful.

overnight stay for taroko gorge tour
I needed a 1 night stop for my taroko gorge tour the next morning and the Mini Voyage Hostel was the perfect location. It's within walking distance of anything you need except the night market. Most importantly, it's near the TRA station. I liked the wooden design & interior; however, I would do something about the scent the wood gives off. The wood used is not natural, it's treated, so there is a residual chemical smell. Otherwise, everything was in good condition.

Within walking distance from the train station. Night market is 15 min drive away (Can call cab at 100nt/way). One thing to note: there is only a narrow staircase for accessing upper floors.

Nice staff, good location, clean
Very friendly staffs, the room is clean and comfy, very close to train station. It would be perfect if there’s place for hanging wet clothes/towel though drying machine is available. It’s more eco-friendly. And it’s better to make a reminder to every roommate not to talk loudly especially when it’s late at night or early in the morning when others are sleeping (common sense sometimes is not really common).

Excellent place to stay!
Very convenance location, minutes walk from train and bus station. ~10min you can get to many restaurant. They are super friendly! We left something in the room after checkout, they were able to mail it back to us.

A touch of class for those on a budget
Just across the street from the train station - bicycle and scooter rentals right nearby. Staff was incredible. Made us feel welcome — encouraged us to use their lobby as a place to relax during the day after checkout. Excellent English. First rate all the way. Very clean and stylish,.

Excellent little hostel in Huelian
The staff at Mini-Voyage Hostel is wonderful, friendly and helpful pointing out the walking areas, night market, and other in the area. The only thing that would make this hostel better is an elevator, but I didn't mind walking to the 3rd floor. There was live music in the lobby on my Monday night stay - two guys singing and playing the guitar from approximately 8 to 10. They were great and everyone enjoyed ourselves.

Clean and spacious
Very convenient, a short walk from the train station. Plenty of car/scooter rentals nearby. Beds were comfy and room was much more spacious than expected—there was even a desk in the room. I liked that it's a private bathroom shared between 3 beds in the same room, too, instead of stalls in the hallway. Everything felt clean and modern. Hosts were very warm, friendly, and helpful in helping you plan your trip or getting a taxi. It's a bit of a walk to the city center, but scooter/bike/taxi (100NT flat rate to anywhere in the city) makes it easy to get around.

Wouldn't mind staying here again!
Hostel location is about a 5 minute walk away from the train station, which is great. There is no lift for this hostel, so if you have heavy luggage you would have to lug it up. The hostel had a cool vibe on the first floor, for travellers to mingle if they wanted to. A washing machine and detergent were provided, as well as instant noodles and some snacks to make us feel more comfortable. The receptionists were friendly and approachable, and they helped us to book tours and answer our queries. We had our own room and bathroom and the beds were slightly larger than usual. Wifi was strong, probably because the router was just outside our room. Overall, it was a great place and I wouldn't mind staying here again!

Great location, great service
Stayed two nights in the hotel. The staff was very helpful (especially the girl) and gave us suggestions on where to go, what to eat/drink/see. Location is also only 5 minutes walk from the Hualien Station making it very convenient.

Soft bedding and easy to access
The Mini Voyage Hostel at Hualien has very cozy and comfortable rooms, especially soft beddings. It made out wonderful sleep. It is easy accessible from the Hualien train station (just 3 minutes walk). The staff is very helpful, service-minded, English-speaking. The location is quite far from the city center (around 30 minutes walk), better to ride bicycle that can be rented nextdoor. Hualien is actually a bicycle town.

Only stay for a night but the room is nice and comfort. 3 person share the room with a private bathroom which is a big bonus for backpackers. The staff are nice and the location is very close to the station. Will stay here again next time.

This hostel is just half a block from train station. We had a 4 person room with four single beds. Room was nice, clean, and neat. Local eateries just around the corner. The staff who worked there were all very helpful and friendly. One took the time to explain to us where to visit for various good spots in the city, and the other even helped to call a taxi on the phone for us - and left us the phone number. The hostel's lobby is also the place to meet fellow travelers. And the hostel throws in free cup noodles every evening 8-10pm, although after sampling all the gourmet food on the street, it may be hard to find room in your stomach for that. The wifi worked fine and the AC was fully adjustable. There was a Mac computer in the common area also. Too bad our trip was cut short because of a typhoon. Otherwise I will definitely stay longer there. And this is definitely worth recommending to other travelers.

無窗的房間感覺霉味濕氣都比較重一些 而且會有很多小蚤蠅飛進房間 但1樓很溫馨 服務員態度良好 還有免費咖啡！ 整體來說未來可以續住 但絕對不會再選無窗房～
