I really enjoyed my stay at the Wayfinder as I was close to a lot of restaurants and shopping centers but went when they were having construction going on so there was no where to park my rental and I had to either pay for parking elsewhere or spend 10-20 mins finding parking along Ala Wai Blvd which was the only free parking area. Other than that it was a very good experience.

I stayed at the property for 3 nights (4 days) and experienced misinformation/ miscommunication upon my arrival. I called the night before check in to confirm that I'd only need 3 days not 4 booked. I was told by the hotel staff member that that was noted and my room reserved was actually upgraded and would be held for me. When I arrived, they had me down for 4 nights and told me I didn't have an upgraded room anymore. When I got into the room I was given, it smelt like cigarette smoke (even though room/hotel was non smoking). They sent someone up to deep clean the air in the room. The room seemed to absorb the humidity as the bed and floor felt wet the entire time. I also experienced an issue with our car being valeted as our rental car came out of to us with a flat tire - which to be fair, it wasn't determined if it slowly deflated in the garage after we returned it or if it happened via staff but when it was returned the tire was perfectly fine. I asked for the night of valet to be waived, they said they would but upon check out it was on there so had to fight again for it to be removed. Despite these issues, they did have some nice staff who fixed these issues as they arose. The decor was cute and for the price it worked for what I needed. But would I ever stay there again or recommend to someone? Sadly, no. Other pros: it was walkable to the Waikiki strip without being in the middle of it all. The pool was nice, but hot tub was way too hot. free drinks on arrival.

The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. The southwest corner of the building is under renovation/repair as of May 2024. The driveway was more narrow due to the presence of scaffolding but no other significant impact or inconvenience was caused by the construction. Excellent swimming pool, bar, and restaurant on location. Easy walk to Waikiki beach, shopping, and other dining options. I parked my rental car along Ala Wai Blvd to avoid paying $45 a night to valet park. However, parking is limited along Ala Wai Blvd so it can be frustrating and less convenient. You might end up finding a spot several blocks away and have to walk back to the hotel. Overall, the amenities were nice and I would stay here again.

I liked the location, really walkable, close to the beach and many dining options. The hotel was nice, we stayed in a corner room which was great. Nevertheless the cleaning was not done everyday (it is ok) but it was not done when we asked for too. Not sure the staff is very reactive and attentive. The parking option was expensive but it’s the same all around Waikiki

The parking situation was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Paid an additional $60 to park in a public parking that’s away from the hotel. Walking back to this hotel in the evening was nerve wracking.

I liked the property, The rooms are small but everything else is excellent. Very welcoming and they have beach stuff that you can use at no cost. Easy to get around and there’s an ABC store right down the street that you can do quick runs for anything.

This hotel is so clean, cute, trendy, and chic. The staff is so hospitable and friendly. The pool is luxurious. I got 2 free drinks with check in, and the happy hour at the restaurant is a great deal. I chose it because of the patio on each room, but my patio was locked with screws and hardware. I could see the furniture out there, but I couldn’t get to it. The elevator does not require key access, so anyone has access to every floor. There is no in room coffee. Overall a very nice experience, but these are major details to a solo traveler like me.

Choose another hotel if you are renting a car in Waikiki. I had read reviews that said there’s limited parking at the hotel, but you can park on the street nearby. I thought that will work. It doesn’t! The only parking is valet at the hotel and from what I gathered it’s a handful of spots. The only free parking is on Ala Wei Blvd along the canal. If you go this route, plan on circling around ( for us an hour an and a half on two different days) to hopefully find a spot. They are full from early in the morning to late at night. Otherwise it’s $60 a day to park at an available location. Some other facilities offer parking at $30 or $50 overnight, plan on a 20 minute walk to the hotel. The parking situation is incredibly frustrating. Not what you want on your holidays. Housekeeping was another issue. We stayed 4 nights. Three mornings in a row I inquired about wanting housekeeping, they finally came on the 4th and last day of our stay. The hotel is in a great location. 10 minutes walk to Waikiki beach and 5 minutes to be in the center of restaurants, shopping etc. Nice pool and hot tub area, friendly pool staff. Rooms are small, lots of outside noise with traffic along Ala Wei Blvd. Hotel is on the corner. I’d hoped it had been a better stay. That being said, we didn’t spend much time at the hotel, too busy exploring beautiful Hawaii. 🌺

Valet parking is the best way to go, or else you take a risk with street parking. The room was cute and trendy. Beds were comfortable. However, we didn't have housekeeping the entire time we there. You get some goodies when you check-in. The bar and restaurant were very tasty and nice.

The housekeeping staff are the best!!! I forgot his name but he clean our room really well. Once you open the balcony door, you will feel the natural breeze and smell the ocean.

The flooring right outside the elevator on the 13th floor was torn up and could be a tripping hazard. Our tub did not drain and after a few minutes of the water running for a shower there was a pool of water. A live cockroach was in the bathroom. The sliding door was constantly rattling during the day and even more noticeable at night. I had to put a napkin in the door gap to minimize the rattling. Since we were right by the elevator we could constantly hear the mechanism for the elevator as it went up and down.

Great hotel, boutique vibe, we were on the eighth floor corner back side view, the street noise is more than i was expecting, i would definitely stay here again but with an inside corner room over the pool. Pool area is very nice, great pool side bar and available food. 5-7 min walk to Waikiki beach, shopping, & restaurants.

The property was fine minus the bathroom floor. It appeared stained from years of use. Front desk staff were not very helpful. Multiple days they told us they ran out of beach towels and chairs without any resolution. What did we pay the resort fee then?

Really nice hotel, staff are lovely with good amenities. As someone who burns easily, I really appreciated the aloe vera dispensers by the pool. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the room cleaners repeatedly forgot to replace our towels after taking them away and also took away one of our bathrobes which is explicitly told will cost you $150 if not in the room when leaving. I’m sure just a friendly mistake, other than that, I would definitely recommend.
