My finance and I stayed at the Resort for the weekend with 2 of our children. We were casually looking for a Beachfront Resort for a wedding location next year.
Our check-in experience was not great. We arrived pretty late, after 11pm. Once we checked in and went upstairs, we discovered our room key was not working. I went back to the lobby, while my family waited by the room. After a second try, still it was not opening the room. The third visit back to the front desk, they gave us a new room. Not as close to the elevator. We understand this can happen, but twice? It was late and we were very tired, so it was quite frustrating.
The condition of our room was also rather disappointing considering the beauty of the Lobby area. There was visible water damage on the ceiling, with mold spots. Our bathroom door didn’t lock. The shower quickly filled with water. We had 4 in our room, with only 3 full sized towels. I asked housekeeping for extra towels, and while they gave us some before coming to our room for daily service, still somehow we ended up with just 3?
When I inquired about wedding information at the front desk, I was sadly informed there was only someone there during the week to give any information. No one on weekends at all?
The Resort has so much potential, the location is amazing, but the visit was rather disappointing.
