The young woman at the service desk was very helpful and great at her job. Check-in was smooth. We moved rooms twice unfortunately. The television was out of service in the first room. Upon entering the second room, it was clear that it had not yet been cleaned. I wish I had made note of the guest services gal, because she was really trying to help us out and was very understanding. The breakfast offered many options. Pool was very small, no hot tub. Overall, the room was acceptable but could definitely use a deep cleaning and updating. The furniture/fixtures were exceptionally worn. The sofa sleeper had stains and food crumbs. (We decided not to use it for sleeping and I shared a bed with my daughter.) The hotel was quiet. There were folks living/sleeping in the parking garage. For the price, I would not stay here again when visiting downtown Des Moines. Service: excellent. Room: not so good.

The staff were great and the location downtown was good but given how much I paid, and the expedia entry saying parking available, I didn’t then expect to pay $30 a night for parking! Also would be good if truely dairy free creamers at least were made available or margarine. It’s no use having breakfast included if you can’t really have breakfast!
The check in was very easy! Parking $30 a day but you can easily find parking on the street. The elevator went down soon after check in but they were fast and it didn’t take long for them to get it fixed! There are so many restaurants and things to do around the hotel. So you literally just can park and walk around the city! Location is great!!!

Front desk is not always staffed and the front doors do not open until a certain time === if you go outside and want to get back into the lobby, good luck!
Also, they don't make it clear that you should not turn in your room key if your car is in the garage (when checking out) as you won't get out of the parking garage. Probably wouldn't stay there again.
The hotel was nice and in a convenient location. Overall, the hotel is in decent shape, though the rooms could use a bit of an update. Just normal wear and tear. Nothing to be concerned about. Most of the places nearby close early so late night options are few. You can access the Skywalk from the second floor which was nice. Overall, a nice stay.
This was my second stay here, I enjoyed it. The rooms are nice and spacious, parking is across the street for and additional $18. It was an easy walk to Wells Fargo Arena for a concert! I'll stay here again for sure!
Friendly staff. Nice room. Enjoyable breakfast. Only downfalls were that the water in the shower didn't get too warm. Warm enough, but could have been warmer. Otherwise, great stay.

Just sent a month traveling with my wife around country. My wife has mobility issues. This was the best hotel for her. The keys were spacious room for her to maneuver her cart and low bed height, she has short legs and a bum shoulder. Front deak and hospitality people were amazing and super helpful.
It was an impromptu trip. I enjoyed my stay the first time, so it was a give in to stay there again.
Breakfast was good, service was good, and the woman working the kitchen area was AWESOME!
When we arrived, we were told the elevator didn’t work and would have to wait about 25 minutes, our room was on the 8th floor and had lots to carry. I was confused because there are 4 elevators. After about 35 minutes, that took us around the building and took us up another elevator. Throughout our 4 day stay, there were many notes about the elevator not working. The pool was inaccessible, as it needed to be cleaned, from what I heard from another guest. They do have parking, but extremely limited. 1 out of 2 treadmills didn’t work.
The only thing I didn’t like is it took forever for the water to get hot in our room . We were on the eighth floor. The rest of the property is great including the breakfast. Staff is great. Room is clean. The hallway is clean and smells good. The heat and air is quiet. The elevators are clean and fast.
We liked the breakfast and the quality of the room. There was noise from the street but that is expected in a city. Parking was inconvenient but not bad.
