I have been staying at Academy Hotel for many years. It always provides a comfortable stay. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast can't be beat. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants or you can eat at Falcons Bar and Grill located in the hotel. Conveniently located just off the interstate. Also airport shuttle to Denver and Colorado Springs airport stops here.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast bar was the best. There was people there to make the food for everyone. A very nice place to stay.

We stayed in the T area. The parking near the elevator was not great. There was only 6 spots available. We did use a luggage cart, which helped a lot. We had our 19 month old with us and we enjoyed our stay. Didnt get to enjoy the indoor pool because we were busy exploring the area. We did get to eat at the complimentary breakfast buffet both days and that was nice.

They allowed us to check in a couple hours early which was very helpful. The rooms were clean and as advertised. The complimentary breakfast was more than expected with an omelette and waffle station. All and all, very worth the value.

The shower did not have any traction strips or a rubber bath mat and the tub was very slippery. I fell taking out the shower curtains and the detachable wand came with me. I reported my injuries and they just said sorry. Maintenance man showed more compassion than management.

The hotel smells so bad! The rooms are very small and is right next to very loud traffic. Good luck sleeping at night. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I booked this room expecting more than what I got. We will not be coming back after we check out in the morning.

The staff was great.. the property not so much. It is in desperate need of repairs and quality contractors to do them. The staff does pretty well at keeping it clean, but a lot is just old. Biggest issue was our toilet. Maint came right away but was unable to fix, saying it was probably something in the main or a connection somewhere. My brother's room was joint and his was not as bad but still had issues. Not a big deal by myself, but as a group, doesn't make things easy. You can tell the quality of work by looking out of the window and seeing how they're running cat6 lines for internet, up, over and wrapped around pipes, just hanging all over, pretty much summed up how well the internet worked.. it didn't most of the time. Constantly dropped connection and was pretty much unusable. The staff was great and that helped, but overall I think I will choose another place the next time I'm out there.

Nice lounge area. Beds were too firm for our taste. Bring your own pillow as there were none that felt comfy. Phone in room didn’t work so had to use cell phone. Service personnel were to come fix the phone, but this didn’t happen during our 2 night stay.

I didn't get the upgrade because I have a dog..... I pay more to have the dog... but don't get an upgrade.... There wasn't any info regarding where the dog debris was to be put. I happened to find it on the way back from a many block walk.

Hotel clean but dated. Bathroom very small . Also bath tub need a bath mat to avoid a slip in the shower. Air conditioning in wall. Staff very nice and helpful at breakfast.

This is our go to place when we stay overnight in Colorado Springs. Its family friendly and the complimentary breakfast with made to order omlets is amazung. Great price and easy access.

We love staying at this property. It is easy to get to off of the interstate. The rooms are nice and spacious. Some have recliners. The breakfast is great. The restaurant has great food at a great price and it is right in the hotel.

We stayed at the hotel a year ago and the inside pool had the smell of chlorine in the entire lobby... It was MUCH better this year... the staff was very friendly... It looks like it is slightly out of date...maybe a face lift...a little brighter.

The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was nice. Sitting by the fireplace after a long day of sightseeing was great. Morning breakfast was tasty and the staff always ready with warm greetings. I recommend The Academy Hotel to all who seek a cozy surrounding.

The pictures looked nice. Wasn’t expecting to be right off the interstate. Made my reservation with a Venmo credit card and then was told when checking in they don’t take Venmo, I reassured her it was a credit card but she said it didn’t matter, thankful I had another means of paying. Stairs on one side of the building and an elevator for the other side but not connected so if you’re on the side with the stairs get ready to haul everything up and down by hand. Same girl that checked us in we had to wait for her to get done texting so we could ask her a question. Walks so thin we could hear the people next door coughing all night loudly for hours. Homeless people living in the bushes out back that yell at you just for walking to your car. Breakfast was wonderful though. Game room is just a small little closet looking like room.

This was a decent property. It was a little dated but it was clean and quiet. Had a good breakfast. The staff was amazing. Every interaction I had with employees was great! It was easy to get to and the interstate was easily accessible. There is a Walmart extremely close and lots of restaurants. We had a Mountain View room and while it was a nice view of the mountains, the hotel behind it appeared trashy and filthy (literally trash all over) so that distracted from the view. There were many people walking around and hanging out in that parking area. This is the reason I didn’t give more stars:(

My first impression was that I made a very bad choice of hotel. Check-in process was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful but the lobby was very hot. I was told later the AC in the common areas was out and had been for a long time. The room was great and the stay would have been a 5 star except for the aforementioned AC issue. The bar and restaurant were too hot to really sit and enjoy for any length of time. Again, the staff was great and attentive.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a lot of shopping within walking/driving distance. Easy highway access as well. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
