"The Silversmith Hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the river, Millennium Park, and lots of museums and attractions. It was easy to take the train from the airport and walk a few blocks to the hotel. Bus and train stops right near the hotel. The room was clean and cozy. The hotel was well-maintained. The best part was the staff. They were all super helpful and welcoming. They were in touch via text before our stay and asked us if we had any requests or needs. We were able...

"Old hotel and rooms. All the outlets in our room were titled and so hard to plug things in them. The outlets near the nightstands on either sides can’t accommodate a charger because they’re stuck on the side of the nightstand between it and the side of the bed. Hairdryer so old and didn’t work. Check in was exactly at 4, they weren’t lenient when I showed up at 2:40."

"The bell men were very nice and helpful. The hotel clerk that checked me in was very pleasant.
The other lady that was a hotel clerk when I arrived was not pleasant and very rude. When I asked a question she was rude about it.
My reservation was not what I expected.....I was reserved a lake view and I got a view of mostly trees."
