Simply…we will stay here again! Helpful and friendly staff, or room was incredibly comfortable, neat and clean. The breakfast in the morning was very nice with very good coffee.

Hotel Berti is a precious jewel in the heart of everything we went to Assisi for Peace Relaxation and Beauty the staff was welcoming and professional assisting us in every way we needed, yet not imposing we enjoyed every moment of our stay. And when a change in plans happened Hotel Berti helped us by allowing us to stay on an extra night which delighted us!

Caring owners make all the difference!
What a charming place to stay! Just a short walk to the Basilica right by the entrance to the walled city: extraordinarily convenient and absolutely charming. The breakfast was excellent and the owners delightful. Their restaurant Le Terrazze di Properzio was equally superior and the meal was one of our best in Italy!!

We really enjoyed this place. Although it was hard to find at first. Part of that was due to our first time in Italy and not realizing how hotels are tucked away. Very friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast. Great location.

Charming hotel in great location in Assisi.
The hotel was perfect for our 4 days in Assisi. Very close to the bus station. Loved having breakfast in their shaded garden. Served us delicious cappuccino. This is a very old but well taken care of small hotel. There is a lift.

Great hotel in Assisi, the staff very accomodating. Room was somewhat tight, bathroom small... but this is to be expected. Very clean. Simple breakfast. Very early checkout 10am.

We were in a perfect setting, at the bottom of hill leading up to the beautiful street of Assisi. We covered just about every beautiful street in this ancient place and had a beautiful cool spot to sit and to meet family in the outdoor patio. The rich flavor of Italy!

Hotel is a typical small property well located. Very picturesque patio outside. Rooms clean. English limited but no problem. European type breakfast. Would stay there again - just because it looks so pretty!!

Memorable Assisi
The hotel was ideally located near St. Francis basilica and a short walk to the city centre. Parking was free from 6pm to 10:30 am just across the street. The service desk attended was always pleasant and eager to please. The only concern we had was that the mattress was uncomfortable. However, we would not hesitate to recommend Berti Hotel to anyone wishing to travel to Assisi.

Perfect hotel to experience Assisi
Hotel Berti was as promised. A small, friendly and inviting hotel. The room were clean and fresh. Air conditioning was amazing to escape the heat of summer! The view from the rooms was lovely. The free wifi and foyer downstairs made relaxing comfortable and pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Assisi. It is very close to St Francis' Basilica and the main entry road to Assisi.

Charming, and air conditioned, with elevator.
A wonderful place, right next to the St.Peter Port in the wall, and where the shuttle bus from the train station stops. Great hospitality, charming hotel, with a family restaurant steps from the hotel.So good, we ate there twice. Highly recommend, would stay at the Hotel Bert again in a heartbeat.Very close to the Basilica of St.Francis, and St Clare.Bene et Grazie#

Easy location, Next to bus stop, clean, friendly
My husband and I stayed here in Oct 2016 and we loved it! It is right next to the bus stop which makes it very easy to get to with your luggage. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and helped us to get a taxi. He even held our bags for us while we were off sightseeing after we checked out. The room was very clean! The bed was very comfortable. It was a beautiful and charming hotel. We were served a delicious breakfast of pastries, yogurt, toast, fruit, and cappuccino. It was at the bottom of the hill, so we took a taxi to the top and then worked our way down to it. Very convenient! We absolutely loved everything about it! We would highly recommend and definitely plan to stay again!

Very good position
Whether you arrive by car or bus from the station, the hotel is just inside the gates and so easy to wheel your bags into it. There is a lift as well. When you want to visit San Francesco it is just a little way up the hill. The owners were helpful at all times and the breakfast was good. In the mornings, since we had the windows open, you awake to the sound of the bells peeling, which is very atmospheric in this town of Churches.

Hotel Berti was a nice, clean hotel for what I needed. Service was efficient (don't expect a huge amount of English) and I appreciated the effort put into breakfast for the guests. Location is convenient, very close to the bus stop (I travelled by train and got into town via bus) howeve, be prepared to climb the maximum amount of hills every day as it is situated at the bottom end of town. The room was clean and tidy, minimal like most Italian hotels, though noisy at times as my room opened up onto a main street.

Enjoyable visit to Assisi!
It is an attractive medium size hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful by providing me with a map of Assisi and directed me to a travel agency which was very helpful regarding my train transportation when departing Assisi. The hotel staff helped to make my visit to Assisi very enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful clean hotel with very friendly staff.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Staff was very kind and our room was very quiet. Got one of the best nights sleep and awoke to the sound of beautiful church bells. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Berti is very near Porto San Pietro in Assisi which made it convenient for us arriving by city bus from the train station. Our room was small and basic but had some charm. The mattress is firm but comfy. The pillows were quite hard. The shower, though small, had a good shower head and good water pressure. There is no internet in your room, but they tell you that up front. You can get internet on the ground floor in the breakfast area or outside in their courtyard that has cute red tablecloth covered tables. The proprietor attends a beverage bar where you can get beer, wine, cappuccinos all day long. Their breakfast is tasty but contains no hot items. I would stay here again if ever in Assisi.

Very nice innkeeper and staff. Hotel located at bottom of hill and very noisy with fast cars, scooters and delivery trucks. The bathroom shower was small and sliding door stuck now and again - suggest replacing shower head. Breakfast very satisfactory.

We had a wonderful stay!
What a charming hotel! Our room was clean and comfortable. We were allowed to check in early when our train arrived well before check-in time. Each morning Mr.Berti made us each an espresso to order then would offer another when we had finished. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on beautiful patio. The food selection was fine. It was typical of the places we stayed. We hope we can stay here again some day.

Very friendly and welcoming people. We had questions about holy sites, Mass times, transportation, etc and each time they happily gave us helpful information. Beautiful room with lovely furnitures and nice touches. You definitely can tell you're in Assisi, not in some regular Howard Johnson. The hotel attendant invited us for breakfast but we were on Eucharistic fast leaving for 7am Mass. He smiled and gave me a bottle of water to go. That was very caring of him, treated us like family. We enjoyed a sumptuous dinner at Da Cecco, a cozy restaurant down the street and realized it was their family owned business as well. We got to eat fabulous food and experience awesome service from their family. The hotel let us keep the bags there after check out so we can do more sightseeing until afternoon. Will stay here again next time. St. Francis will be proud to call these hotel owners his townspeople.

It was super! From check in to check out the staff was great. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The morning breakfast in the garden area was superb. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to all the sites. We would love to return here and spend more time in this beautiful area
