Bad front desk customer service
Staff was not knowledgeable of reservations made by hotels.com. She declined to let us in and said we owe money even though it was already paid for. I used one of my free stays and she said that we cant use those and can only use best western rewards and that they have nothing to do with hotels.com. It ultimately got resolved but the hassel was unnecessary.

I stayed with my seven-year-old granddaughter and when we took showers that evening she has almost waist length hair there was barely enough shampoo and conditioner to use between the two of us. Between that and the soap to shower with the bottom of the tub was so slick that she fell and I almost did. I had to brace my feet along the sides of the tub to keep from slipping. There is no handlebar in the tub to hold onto or anything on the bottom of the tub to keep you from falling. At 70 years old that could have been bad. Otherwise everything was just lovely and we had a great overnight.

Dirty bathroom & the noise was so bad neither my wife nor i slept. The ice machine was right outside the door and there were gaps in the door jam which let every sound be heard from the outside in and likewise. It was a horrible place to stay.

We came up for the Huntington WV dog show about 20 mins away from the hotel. We arrived around 1am or so Saturday morning. We had called ahead & spoke to Steve to let them know we were running late, as well as to confirm they had us in a pet room, because Hotels.com doesn't have a spot for that. Steve was awesome, they hadn't had us in a pet room, but he changed the room for us without any problem. When we arrived, the staff had everything taken care of except the pet charges. Our room was on the 1st floor, and we were able to park up close to the building to unload. The room was very clean. When we woke up, we saw that the hotel didn't have a great view across the road, BUT the rocks on the grounds were spectacular & complete with a spring and some flowers. The morning staff were wonderful, and breakfast was way more than expected to get. All of the staff were very friendly to us & our dog as well, and even asked how well she had done at the show. The fact that they cared enough to ask meant the world to us. The pool was wonderful. We couldn't find anything at all we wanted to complain about. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We hope that we can come stay with you guys again next year - thank you so much!
The rocks near the hotel. As an Earth science teacher, this made my weekend. I took lots of pictures to use in class.

We were on a motorcycle trip and was looking to get out of the 100 degree heat and jump iinto a outside pool. So I looked up area motels with a outside pool. Even called. the best western cotp number to make sure pool was open. Was asured the the pool was open. Got to morel and pool shut down.

Shelly (sorry if I'm misspelling her name) was AWESOME! She was so sweet & accommodating. She went above & beyond with her customer service. This was the only hotel out of 4 that offered breakfast. It was limited, but they offered individually wrapped breakfast sandwich, yogurts, & fruit. The room was clean. My only complaint is that the bed wasn't very comfortable, but I still slept pretty well. I rate this 8 or 9 out of 10. I would stay again.
