We have stayed at the Park Royal and after 4 weeks in Europe decided to stay for a well deserved break before heading back to Perth. As with before we booked a Club Room and we're not disappointed. The staff were fantastic and nothing too much trouble. Farelynn and Natasha were very helpful when we needed any assistance. We have recommended to others to stay and would definitely return next time.
An excellent bijou hotel in the Malay part of town which is great if you want to be away from the hustle of centre. with a taste of the life and culture of Singapore but easy to get into the city. The staff could not have done enough for us, upgraded room as we arrived early - small but perfectly good enough for an overnight stay with a lovely shower room, included breakfast which is unusual at the rate and complimentary soft drinks in the fridge. Stored our luggage for the day as had a late flight but then gave us a room to shower with towels and toiletries free of charge. Highly recommend
We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was fine for myself, my husband and 1 year old child. The only drawback was that there was no microwave, which I found unusual, given there is a nespresso machine, steam oven, induction cooktop etc - fancy kitchen appliances which I don't even have at home!
We were able to make up my daughters food by heating on the stove and the staff were accommodating in letting us keep a highchair in the room. The pool was quite cold unless you were actually going to a swim - if you just want a soak and splash, its a bit too nippy. We stopped taking our daughter up to the pool as she started shivering after about 5 minutes in there.
Location is great, especially if you're not an Orchard Rd shopper. We didn't pay more than $10 Sing dollars to go by taxi anywhere (except to the airport) and didn't travel more than 10 min by road, but managed to fill our time each day. The Arab quarter and surrounding areas have plenty to do with a young baby, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants to get takeaway from if your stuck in your room early when bub goes to sleep.
The door between the bedroom and the living area is quite solid and worked well to reduce noise for when our daughter slept - we had her in the portacot in the bedroom and we were in the living area until we also went to bed. The living area is spacious and the suite had plenty of storage so it never felt cramped.
