The tour begins in the charming coastal town of Novigrad, where guests meet the skipper and board comfortable, safe boat designed for small groups. After a short welcome and introduction, we set off toward the river mouth, where the sea slowly blends into the calm freshwater of the river Zrmanja.
As we enter the river, the scenery changes dramatically. Towering limestone cliffs rise on both side, forming a 100. meter- deep canyon carved by nature thousands of years. The slow and quiet ride allows guests to fully enjoy the surroundings- perfect for photography and pure relaxation.
The route continues upstream trough approx. 12 km of canyon. passing traditional stone ruins and hidden corners of the river. Along the way, the skipper shares interesting stories about the river. local history and life in this unique karst region.
