This pass grants entry to Qingming Shanghe Garden and Kaifeng Prefecture, covering round-trip hotel transfers, lunch and a dedicated English-speaking guide.
Your guide awaits you in your Zhengzhou hotel lobby. En route to eight-dynasty ancient capital Kaifeng, they narrate Bianliang’s Northern Song glory, tales of Lord Bao at Kaifeng Prefecture, and the backstory of Along the River During the Qingming Festival.
We first visit Kaifeng Prefecture. The guide tours core landmarks: the main gate, Main Hall, Qingxin Tower, Meihua Hall and West Prison. You watch live shows Opening the Yamen and Judge Bao’s Trial, see the dragon, tiger and dog-headed execution blades, and learn about Song judicial culture and Lord Bao’s upright legends.
Next, we ride to time-honored Huang’s Baozi for lunch. Their signature thin-skinned juicy soup dumplings come with local steamed dishes and mixed-grain congee for genuine Kaifeng flavors.
We then head to Qingming Shanghe Garden. The guide elaborates on the replica painting’s architecture, Bian River grain transportation and Northern Song folk customs. Inside, we visit Rainbow Bridge, Bian River and Imperial Street, watch folk performances including Yue Fei’s Spear Show and Wang’s Son-in-Law Selection, and learn about Song commerce and civilians’ daily life to soak up Bianjing’s prosperity.
Option 1 covers Kaifeng Prefecture, Qingming Shanghe Garden and Huang’s Baozi lunch. Option 2 adds the grand evening water spectacle The Great Song: Dreams of Dongjing—a poetic outdoor show with lights and water screens depicting the rise and fall of the Northern Song. Dinner is excluded; your guide can suggest local specialties anytime.
After the full-day excursion, private transport will safely send you back to your Zhengzhou hotel.
