In the wonderful city of Venice, the professional chef Carolyn will share with you her passion for cooking and some secrets of the Venetian cuisine!

She teaches her cooking lessons in the beautiful kitchen of her lovely house, which is situated in Campo Santa Margherita square, one of the most picturesque squares of Venice.
As you learn to prepare typical Venetian dishes made with fresh and high-quality ingredients only, you will sip a glass of Prosecco, a local sparkling wine, and nibble some cicchetti, traditional Venetian finger food.

During this lesson you will prepare fresh homemade pasta filled with seasonal vegetables, meat or both following the traditional Italian method. You will also learn to make lovely Italian cookies and a decadent Venetian creamy dessert, a guilty pleasure.

After your lesson, you will sit and enjoy the delicious meal you have prepared, chatting over a nice glass of regional wine with Carolyn and the other participants. From spring to autumn, if the weather is good, you will enjoy your meal on Carolyn’s terrace.

Carolyn, an American lady married to a Venetian, has lived in Italy for more than 20 years and has won numerous awards for her Venetian cooking. She is a member of Sustainable Catering and SlowFood Venice. Learn to cook real Venetian dishes following traditional Italian techniques and using ingredients from Venice’s markets or the islands of the Venetian lagoon!
