Your adventure begins in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where you’ll meet your experienced Ultimate Adventures guide and get fitted with specialist caving equipment before heading towards the cave system. After a full safety briefing and introduction to the equipment and techniques used throughout the experience, it’s time to begin the descent.

Entering the cave via a huge abseil, you’ll discover an incredible underground world hidden beneath the Yorkshire Dales. As you journey through the cave system, you’ll explore large chambers, underground passages and fascinating rock formations shaped over thousands of years.

Along the way, you’ll take on exciting subterranean challenges including scrambling sections, uneven terrain, flowing water and optional squeezes and technical cave features. Every part of the adventure is fully guided, with expert support provided throughout to help you build confidence and enjoy the experience at your own pace.

No previous caving experience is required, making this an ideal introduction to vertical caving and underground adventure activities. Participants should have a moderate level of fitness, a sense of adventure and confidence moving on uneven and wet terrain.
