Step into a peaceful family home and garden in Yogyakarta and discover batik through a contemporary, hands-on experience. Rather than learning in a commercial or industrial setting, you'll experience batik in an intimate, welcoming environment surrounded by greenery, guided by our family and experienced batik makers.

Choose from a selection of classic and contemporary batik designs, or create your own. Learn the traditional wax-resist technique while exploring your creativity and developing a design that feels personal to you. For the natural dyeing experience, you'll also discover how beautiful colors can be created from plants and other natural materials.

Relax, enjoy a welcome drink, and take your time creating a one-of-a-kind piece to remember your time in Yogyakarta. Your experience includes the cotton fabric, tools, and materials needed for the workshop, as well as photo documentation of your creative process.

Located in the heart of Yogyakarta, our family home is approximately a 15-minute drive from Malioboro and 10 minutes from the historic Kotagede area.
