Mother Armenia is a monumental statue in Victory Park overlooking the capital city of Yerevan. It has a height of 22 meters while the overall height of the monument is 51 meters (167 ft), including the pedestal. The pedestal hosts a military museum inside. The Cascade is an architectural complex in Yerevan that consists of a multi-level staircase structure with terraces, fountains, sculptures, and exhibition halls. The complex connects the city center with the elevated areas of the other administrative districts. It is one of the symbols of the city, one of the most visited tourist sites and an important public space. Simply known by locals as Opera, it is one of the main landmarks and recognizable symbols of Yerevan. It consists of two concert halls: the Philharmonic Concert Hall and the Opera and Ballet National Theatre. A pedestrian boulevard, the Northern Avenue is mainly home to luxurious residential buildings, high-end branded shops, commercial offices, coffee shops, hotels, restaurants, and connects the Opera House with the Republic Square. The Republic Square is the central town square in Yerevan and home to the Government, National Gallery and History Museum, singing fountains and much more. It is architecturally and culturally the heart of the city.
