Embark on a guided tour through the must-see destinations in Armenia – Echmiadzin, Zvartnots, Garni, and Geghard.
Start with Echmiadzin - where, according to legend, “the only begotten Son of God descended.” The church serves as the residence of the Supreme Catholicos of all Armenians and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Echmiadzin is of historical and spiritual importance.
Continue to the splendid Zvartnots Temple, dating back to the 7th century. The Mother Cathedral and Zvartnots Temple stand proudly on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
Proceed to the pagan temple Garni, commissioned in the 1st century AD by Armenian king Trdat. Dedicated to the sun god Mithra, the Temple Garni is a unique monument connecting to the era of paganism and Hellenism.
Next, visit the Geghard Monastery, built in the 4th century by the First Armenian Catholicos, Gregory the Illuminator.
The last stop is a photo stop at Azat reservoir. It is a scenic artificial lake located in the Ararat Region of Armenia, built in 1976 for irrigation purposes. The reservoir is also a popular spot for outdoor activities such as paddleboarding and hiking.
