14:30 – Departure & Countryside Exploration
Your journey begins in the mid-afternoon pickup at meeting point or your hotel with a scenic drive towards the tranquil Yulong River area. Known as the “Little Li River,” this region offers an idyllic glimpse into rural Guangxi. As we meander through lush rice paddies, ancient stone bridges, and traditional farmhouses nestled among karst peaks, you will have plenty of time to soak in the pastoral charm. This is the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of the countryside bathed in soft afternoon light before the evening golden hour begins.
16:30 – Arrival at Xianggong Hill Base
We arrive at the foot of the renowned Xianggong Hill (相公山). Before the ascent, take a moment to relax or grab a refreshing drink at one of the nearby cafes overlooking the landscape. The atmosphere here is serene, setting the stage for the panoramic views ahead.
17:00 – Hike to the Summit
Begin the short but rewarding hike up the well-maintained stone steps. The climb takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes and leads you to a multi-level wooden viewing platform at the summit. From this bird's-eye vantage point, you are treated to a sweeping, uninterrupted view of the famous “First Bend of the Li River” winding its way through layers of majestic karst mountains.
17:30 to 19:00 – The Golden Hour & Sunset Spectacle
Position yourself at the best vantage point on the summit to witness nature's daily masterpiece. As the sun begins its descent, watch the sky ignite in vibrant shades of orange, gold, and red. The setting sun casts a warm, dramatic glow over the (continuous karst peaks) and the shimmering river below, creating a breathtaking ink-wash painting come to life. This is the ultimate moment for photographers to capture awe-inspiring shots of the sunset merging with the landscape. We will stay until the sun has fully dipped below the horizon, ensuring you experience the complete transition from golden hour to twilight.
19:00 – Return Journey
As darkness falls and the stars begin to appear, we will make our way back down the hill. You will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel in Yangshuo or your preferred drop-off location, bringing this unforgettable evening of natural beauty to a close
