As the fifth Khan of the Empire, he finally conquered Central land China and established the Yuan Dynasty in A.D 1271. The Yuan Dynasty (A.D1271- 1368) had 3 capitals: Dadu (Grand Capital, the present day Beijing), Shangdu (Upper Capital, right here), and Zhongdu (Middle Capital, Somewhere between here and Beijing).
