This 90-minute group lesson welcomes everyone aged 16 and older, making it ideal for both first-timers and those looking to sharpen their skills. With a maximum of 12 students per session, you’ll enjoy a supportive and social environment as you learn the fundamentals alongside other like-minded individuals.

Your session begins with a warm introduction from experienced local instructors from NC Surf Adventures. They’ll guide you through the basics—paddling, popping up, and reading the ocean—on the sand before you head into the water. Wrightsville Beach is famous for its warm waters, consistent waves, and gentle surf breaks, offering the perfect setting for beginners and those looking to build confidence.

All equipment is provided, including surfboards, leashes, and rashguards. If you prefer, you may bring your own board, and wetsuits are available upon request (typically needed from November onwards). The lesson is designed for all skill levels, so whether you’re catching your very first wave or refining advanced techniques, you’ll receive expert guidance tailored to your ability.
