Trade your beach day for an adrenaline-filled adventure on the Tenorio River, one of Guanacaste's standout whitewater experiences.

After picking up from your selected Guanacaste-area hotel, travel inland toward the Tenorio River. Once you arrive, your professional rafting guide will provide a safety briefing and explain the paddling commands you'll use during the trip. You'll then gear up with a helmet and life jacket before heading onto the river.

Get ready for approximately 13 km of Class III–IV whitewater. Paddle through a series of rapids and technical river sections while surrounded by tropical forest scenery. Keep your eyes open along the way, you may spot tropical birds, monkeys, iguanas, and other wildlife in the surrounding landscape.

After completing the rafting route, dry off and enjoy lunch before beginning your return journey to Guanacaste area hotels.

This is a physically active whitewater experience. Participants should be comfortable in moving water, able to follow guide instructions and have the physical ability to paddle and participate throughout the rafting section. Minimum age is 12 and older.
