Committed to responsible whale watching, we combine the expertise of our traditional “Vigia” (spotter) with our crew’s experience at sea. The Vigia uses high-powered binoculars from a vantage point on land to locate whales and dolphins and communicates their position to our boats via radio. At sea, our team ensures safe and respectful encounters, following the Azorean Code of Conduct for approaching cetaceans, so you can enjoy these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat without disturbing them.
