Westminster Abbey—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—boasts more than 700 years of rich British history and is one of the most extraordinary religious buildings in the United Kingdom. It is a traditional place of coronation—where the monarch is formally crowned and adorned with regalia—and burial site for famous English poets, legendary writers, and other prominent sovereigns.

Enter the majestic building and explore as you wish to discover the wonders of British monarchy. As you stroll around the majestic grounds of Westminster Abbey, the venue for Prince William and Kate Middleton's fairy-tale wedding in 2011, admire the imperious Gothic designs and intricately designed stained-glass windows, statues, and graceful paintings.

See the Coronation Chair, one of the oldest pieces of furniture in the country, which was created to crown King Edward I and is still used for its original purpose today. The chair has hosted the coronation of every single British monarch since 1308, including Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II, the current reigning queen.
