Perkara yang anda boleh jangka

Tread in the footsteps of Harlem's notable residents on a tour that explores the historic Sugar Hill. Travel back to the heyday of the Harlem Renaissance as you stroll among elegant row houses inhabited by prominent African-Americans, and stop to check out other well-known neighborhood landmarks.

Meet your guide, a Harlem resident, in the heart of the neighborhood and head north for Sugar Hill, which is situated on top of a bluff. Learn about the neighborhood's growth in the 1920s as you admire the stunning Victorian architecture of affluent row houses and estates, passing by the former homes of famous African-American residents like W. E. B. Du Bois, Thurgood Marshall, and Duke Ellington. Stop at the Morris–Jumel Mansion, a grand example of Palladian architecture and the oldest house in the neighborhood.

Visit the Church of the Intercession, site of the Trinity Church Cemetery where many of New York's influential aristocrats and political leaders are buried. Before your tour ends, check out the impressive grounds of the Hispanic Society of America, a museum that houses prolific works by the likes of Diego Velázquez and Francisco de Goya.
