Meet your Bedouin guide at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village, next to the public parking lot. The starting point of the tour. Hop in the back of the jeep and let us take you on an adventure through the vast desert landscape, one place even more impressive than the other. You’ll notice that the further we drive into the desert, the less cell service you have. Time to really connect with all the elements around you and live in the moment, enjoying the tour to the fullest.
You will visit canyons, valleys, sand dunes, natural bridges and important historical places known from the stories of Lawrence of Arabia. Your local guide knows all the highlights of the Wadi Rum desert. At each place of interest, we make a stop, and you get out of the jeep to explore the sight by yourself. After a short explanation by the guide, you can wander off by yourself, take pictures, do a hike or connect with the local Bedouins and drink some traditional tea in a Bedouin tent.
The first stop is Lawrence Spring, where natural water runs down from the mountain into a water basin. The camel’s favorite place. Then we continue to Khazali Canyon, a narrow canyon that was an important part of the ancient trading routes, providing shade and a water well. You can still see the 2000-year-old Nabatean inscriptions carved in the mountains, giving directions and information for other travelers. The next stop is the Red Sand dune, that owns its color to the iron oxide in the sandstone. Wadi Rum is often called the valley of the moon, the red sand will make you feel like you are on another planet. Run down the sand dune or use the sandboard if you dare.
After drinking some tea in the local shop, we visit Little bridge and Umm Fruth Rock Bridge, two famous naturally formed bridges in Wadi Rum. If you choose the morning tour, your send the tour with a canyon hike through Abu Khashaba Canyon, showing you a panoramic view of the desert valley when you exit the canyon. And when you choose the sunset tour, we end the tour at a nice sunset viewpoint with tea on the fire.
After the tour, we bring you back again to Wadi Rum village.
