While on Isabela Island in the Galápagos archipelago, head up into the volcanic sierra and rappel 500 feet into an ancient volcano's crater. Reach the bottom, walk around the chambers, and witness its long geological evolution. See untouched quartz crystals, petrified lichens, and other natural wonders formed by the dormant volcano's last eruption 600,000 years ago.
Then, climb up back to the surface, walk around the triplets edge (three volcanoes together) and observe from safety, the abysmal tunnels inside of each volcano, while enjoying the majestic coast and Galapagos ocean view.
