This private full-day tour will take you to one of the most beautiful cities in Yucatan, we are talking about Campeche.

This city was founded in 1540 and was walled to prevent pirate attacks from happening, which were very common in the past, stealing the wealth of the city and its inhabitants.

Campeche was declared the “Historical Walled City of Campeche”. Here you will appreciate some constructions that reflect the wealth of its people, you will see some Mayan findings and will learn about their legacy, as well as appreciate the anti-pirates edifications along the wall and forts. Visit its most iconic locations and take beautiful pictures. Have a great time here and enjoy your visit.

It was found on December 12th of 1984 in Campeche by the archeologist William Folan and his team. Next to it were the remains of the body of the ancient ruler to whom it belonged.

Jipi Japa is the name of the fiber that is used to elaborate hats, bags, fans, and other elements. This comes from the Jipi fiber and the palm of "huano". The main handicraft that is made here is the worldly famous Panamanian hats. All of this is hand-made in the caves of Becal, where the humidity softens the fibers. Almost all family members participate in the elaboration process, from the grandparents to the grandchildren. It is a tradition that has taken place many centuries ago.
