We breathe, fix the image, repair calories and continue along a much narrower and mountain path. The walk is calm but continues to climb, softer and stronger at times, but uphill, into the forest. In the middle of a promising climb we come across a sign indicating the fork. The sign is actually broken but the pole is there, when we see it, we must know that the path that goes to the right, below, takes us towards the Cajón Negro, and the one that climbs, towards the false Belvedere ridge.

When we decided to face the challenge, instead of turning towards the Cajón, we continued climbing. It seems like the climb is endless, but rest assured, it ends sooner than we think. We must remember that at some moments, the head is more important than the muscle or accumulated fatigue. It usually happens that when we think we are arriving, when we arrive we realize that there was much more to go and that can generate unease. But patience. The best is always yet to come. After one last climb, we reached the rocky summit. At the top, a large wooden cross looks towards the Correntoso. The view is incredible: Correntoso lakes, in the background the Nahuel Huapi, to our left the Inacayal hills, Cajón Negro valley and Cerro Bayo. The descent is much more agile, although you don't have to "wear out" your legs with the enthusiasm of the beginning, because it will be a long time downhill.

On the way down, reaching the last section of the route, we will pass through a beautiful path of native Andean-Patagonic forest that leads to the Mirador Belvedere, a natural viewpoint that allows splendid views of the northern arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi, the bridge over Route 231 under which the short Correntoso River connects with Correntoso Lake and a partial view of the latter.
