Embark on a guided 2-day hiking tour on the Hochschwab mountain range, a stunning mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps of Austria. Begin your adventure with a comfortable car/van ride from Vienna to the trailhead.

May - October: Hike through forests and rocky trails, taking in breathtaking views of the Alps and with a little bit of luck spot some capricorns. Climb about 1300 meters up and down on a 18-kilometer route, with breaks along the way. Those who do not want to continue to the very top, can wait in the hut (800m up and down, 14km route).

November - April: Hike through snowy forests and rocky trails, taking in breathtaking views of the Alps and with a little bit of luck spot some capricorns. Climb about 800 meters up and down on a 10-15-kilometer route, with breaks along the way. Those who do not want to continue to the very top, can wait comfortably in the hut (700m up and down, 10km route).

Learn practical tips for map reading, orientation, and using a compass from your certified mountain guide. Stop for lunch (at your own expense) and a night including breakfast at a beautiful and safe mountain hut (included). As usual on mountain huts the rooms as well as the bathroom may be shared with other guests.

Return to Vienna the next day in the late afternoon/evening, refreshed and inspired by your alpine adventure.

Hiking shoes can be rented for free. Just let me know, if you need any, so we can find the right shoe sizes. But with any shoes, to guarantee the best comfort, I highly recommend bringing your own hiking shoes.
