Step into the timeless silence of the Fuegian forest and experience a magical journey through snow-covered landscapes, once walked by the woodcutters of Tierra del Fuego. This immersive adventure begins with hotel pickup in Ushuaia, as we head north along the legendary Pan-American Route (Route 3), traveling its final, remote kilometers into the heart of the Andes and into the Tierra Mayor Valley.
Upon arrival at Husky Park, nestled in this snowy valley, we take part in a guided visit through the park to learn about the history, care, and training of our sled dogs, a team of Huskies known for their loyalty, intelligence, and friendly nature. After this introduction, we hop onto a sled pulled by Huskies and begin a tranquil 1.2 km ride through the white expanse. The sled glides silently across the valley, eventually weaving into a beautiful forest trail once used by local lumberjacks, rich with history and natural charm.
After this serene ride, we give the Huskies a well-earned rest and continue the adventure with a burst of adrenaline. With safety instructions and helmets provided, we set off on a thrilling 5 km snowmobile ride through spectacular winter scenery. This two-seater vehicle lets you experience the landscape up close, guided by an expert who leads the way along frozen trails and past ancient peat bogs.
Back at the refuge, we enjoy the Abrazo Husky, a special moment to interact, cuddle, and take photos with the dogs, before warming up with a cup of hot chocolate and sharing reflections on the day. Surrounded by mountain silence and a crackling stove, it's the perfect ending to a unique Patagonian experience. Then, we return to Ushuaia, carrying the spirit of the forest and the memory of an unforgettable snowy escape.
